CucumberKris true that, that should be #1 and I'm not saying it as a T-Mac fanatic. I thought "Yeah it's ok seeing it in top 3, let's see what's first!" then I saw a normal crossover plus shot from medium by Jordan. Sick crossover, but the play itself is not THAT huge, half of Iverson highlights are made of that crossovers.
I agree that the McGrady plays were awesome. However, the video doesn't show Reggie Miller hitting not two, but three 3-pointers in the closing seconds to defeat the Knicks that year!
Rich Walton The crossover itself is amazing for the way he puts his legs but that's it, it's jsut a cross and a three pointer, you see that on a daily basis in the NBA.
Honourable mentions: -Allen Iversons crossover against Lue -Ray Allens game winning 3 pointer to save the Heat -Brian Scalabrines 360 windmill dunk from halfcourt
That Ray Allen 3 was wack because Popovich stupidly took Duncan off the floor, which was why the Heat kept getting offensive rebounds. Derek Fisher's 0.4 second shot against the Spurs and Robert Horry's 3 in 2002 WCF against the Kings are both a lot more memorable.
That's a wack 3 because Popovich deliberately threw the game by taking Duncan off the floor, which resulted Heat in 3 straight offensive rebounds for the Heat. Robert Horry's 3 against the Kings and Derek Fisher 0.4 seconds against the Spurs are both a lot more memorable.
+RJ As far as significance goes, yes, Ray's Tre should be up there near the top. But Evans shot (and Jerry West's) were more amazing because of where they shot the ball from.
Lebron's unbelievable playoff game against the Pistons in '07 (where he scored 29 of the Cavs' last 30 points in a double-overtime victory) should be on here.
steven palmzie sim His real name is Magic Scalabrine, but he changed it to Brian because NBA told him to because they didn't want to show anybody his magic.
Honestly wether it's a push or not means nothing. The fact that he swished the shot to win a game 6 in the finals and cap of a second threepeat and a hall of fame career, it's like the perfect ending to the arguably the greatest career ever.
That shot was wack because Duncan wasn't even on the court. Heat missed their first 2 attempts, but the Spurs were undersized and couldn't rebound. Robert Horry himself has at least 3 moments more deserving to be on the list, especially 2002 WCF against the Kings.
That Tyreke Evans shot was honestly the most amazing thing I've ever seen. You can't take anything away from it just because it wasn't in the playoffs. Not to mention the shot before by O.J. Mayo was a great shot too. Probably the most exciting last 15 seconds in a game ever.
But he did in a way the refs didn't see, so it is only a foul if its called, a lot of players do that nowadays too, d wade is an example, just did it yesterday against knicks.
+Tyrone Richardson But we're not talking about the most clutch play of all-time, just the best plays of all-time. And Jan, Tmac was a series of plays not one single showstopper.
1:48 This is my all time favorite highlight compilation. Everything in this video just makes number six so awesome. The way the commentator screams "Oh My God!" and the way the crowd reacts. The music is the cherry on top but this is definitely a moment to remember. It was so shocking Lillard had to turn away from the hoop. I don't think he believed it.
+Ryan Lee Maybe not a Top 10 Play of All Time, but he had his head at the rim, basically jumped over a guy, and did it with two hands. You usually only see that kind of elevation with one hand, and usually from 6'2-6'6 black guys.
No I am annoyed that they always put Jordan number one cause he's Jordan. I think it's silly. I realize going back and reading my comment that it could have sounded like I supported it though. I once saw a dude who was dead serious and was writing an article for a sports website who said Jordan was in the top 10 passers of all time, and was a better passer than Jason Kidd. People just worship him it's silly.
James Brown The dude was an amazing passer, he just had a shoot first mentality for 90% of his career. Remember, when he as moved to PG in 89 for a stretch of games, he had 11 triple doubles in 12 games. And in the 91 finals, he averaged 31ppg and 11.4 assists. So clearly he was a great passer (in terms of passing ABILITY). He just chose to be more of a scorer most of his career.
Honestly it needed Dr. J's crazy layup against the Lakers, MJ's switcheroo layup in 1991, Magic Johnson's baby hook game winner, Kobe's game winner, the "Halviceck stole the ball!" play, MJ's 1989 Game winner, and much more.
Fuck him i hate him go spurs go. Lebron didn't deserve that series win over my spurs, if it wasnt for allen he wouldve lost 5 times in the finals. But he did deserve the blow out win in 2014 that felt soooo good as a spurs fan. Beating them by 15+ each game and winning both games on their home court was just beautiful especially with all the fake ass fans leaving in the 3rd quarter and 4th. Haha, Duncans 5 championships > LBJ's 2 championships.
Actually.. that scream from the boing vert as I was watching this gave me shivers down to my spine. I think it's creepy as I was watching this at 12:36 am and alone in my room. Well.. Haha. Great video you have here Thanks, HoH!
There are many plays that could have been on here, but there is no such thing as a perfect list. In my opinion, this is pretty damn close, so props to you House Of Hoops keep doing what you do.
Honorable mentions: Kobe Shaq alley oop, Lebron James game 7 block, Ray Allen 3 pointer (2013), nate Robinson Yao Ming block, Shaq bringing down the entire basketball hoop, Shaq breaking the backboard.
TMAC wow.... Greatest player that never was. Had he only stayed healthy. He'd be bumping someone out of the top 10. I didnt agree with all the 10 but this was a dope ass video!! Good job sir
I remember i was 13 watching TMAC doing the clutchest series of shots in my grandparents living room. I was a huge fan of his so much raw talent. I was literally in awe.
estilkind not sure what you mean by endorsements or what that have to do with anything... all i read is: TOP 10 plays of all time... and t-mac have the best
Most of this list is legit, I'd put Larry's steal top 5 and replace Tom Chamber's dunk, Lillard's game winner and Jordan's layup and put D Wade's at 10, put in Magic's skyhook or something but you do a nice job on the videos bro, real shit
Except for #10, those are all situational scenarios that make the plays so good. That move by MJ at #10 is probably the greatest move of all time in the NBA. There's not another player on the planet that could pull that off, except MJ. That T-mac sequence is hands down, the best series of shots made since I've been watching the NBA.
Everybody pretty much agrees he gave him a little nudge yes:) But with the way Russel was running I think MJ would end up wide open after that crossover anyway.
Oh dude he definitely did lol anyone who's not blind could see that but I don't see the problem with it. The game was more physical back then, defensively, and offensively. It's still one of the dopest plays ever because of the way he pimped it at the end lol
that jordan shot was the single most important shot of a monumental career. the steal, the lead up, the series as a whole. there is nothing you can do to discredit it. now, his shot at #10 is a different story. amazing shot.....pretty cool "play". same as the tom chambers dunk. great dunk...pretty cool play. both are expendable
+nessleezle The Lilliard shot was 500 times more impressive. When Jordan took his shot, a ROUTINE 18 footer, the game was TIED, the Bulls were up in the series, and there was no pressure. I'll leave off the fact that Jordan pushed Russell off with his left hand. Lilliard ran all the way across the court to catch the ball and nail it all net with his team down by two and one second left.
+Emmanuel Enyinwa first of all the game was not tied...86-85 before MJ hit the shot...no pressure?Game 6 of NBA finals and on the road...Lillard's shot was impressive but it was only during the 1st round of the playoffs...now go figure... :)
Daniel Espinoza idk if it was a pushoff for sure. It didnt look like he put enough power to cause that distance. a lot of elite players do this (i.e. james harden, dwyane wade) to give the defender the illusion that theyre still driving.
***** Did he nudge him? yes. Do people nudge and throw chicken wings on the court all the time? yes. Within the rules of the NBA, it's not legal, but everybody knows how to bend the rules, and the tricks to get away with it without being dirty in any way. Ever seen *Kobe* in the post how he slaps peoples hands away from him? Ever seen *LeBron* push off with his off arm on a fastbreak? Ever seen *Chris Paul* nudge you away with his off arm on a stepback? Ever seen *Barkley* clear space with his elbows after a rebound? Ever seen *Moses Malone* give post chicken wings? It happens all the time. All the greats know the tricks.
That shot was wack because they missed their first 2 attempts and only got a 3rd chance because Duncan wasn't on the court and the Spurs couldn't rebound. Horry's 2002 WCF was way better. Fisher's 0.4 second shot way better.
Man.. I STILL love watching MJ play. He was just such a beast on the court. He wasn't only the best ever, but he just made it look SOOOO easy and smooth too.
"The Shot" is generally recognized as the shot Michael Jorden hit at the buzzer to beat the Cavs in a best of 5 series in the first round. Like said above by Jzon3251. I can't believe that that play was not on here.
josh south Thank you,. Yeah, so many comeback-series-of-plays on here, but that shot and Jordan switching hands vs the Lakers aren't on here. Heck, just in the last Cavs-Bulls series of 2015, you had 2 game-winners that could've made this list (Rose,Lebron). This list is not objective enough.
No because at that time it was suppose to be his last shot ever I believe, which made it so special. He won his 6th ring on the road in clutch fashion. He did push a little bit but it wasnt that hard, but the guy wasnt even complaining about it after it happened. Players these days would bitch and complain about it if they knew they got fouled so i dont think he believed it was an offensive foul
False. Russell is well documented stating he pushed off. That's the thing though, if you're a superstar you get away w things like that. For the record, Russell has actually challenged MJ to one on one's as recent as a year ago stating that he doesn't even care if he pushes off, and that he'd still beat him in a one on one.
Dustin Carter thats was after LOL. if he thinks he was pushed he should have reacted or said it after that happens. which obviously he didnt. so no pushed off
Others not mentioned: LeBron's shot against the Magic in 2009 ECF, a 3 pointer, down 2 with 1.2 seconds left. Kobe Bryant's 3 pointer against the Pistons in 2004 Game 2. Ray Allen's 3 against San Antonio Derek Fisher's 20 footer against San Antonio Steph Curry's 3 against New Orleans in 2015 Game 3. Magic's running hook against Boston in 1985. Vince Carter's 3 against San Antonio in 2014.
Some really amazing moments I didn't know of. One amazing moment I was aware of. You left out the Doc. And I'm sure others that could replace a straight up dunk. Jordan at the top is cool.
Bill People have different opinions on it. I believe that he didn't, because if he did push him his hand would have followed through. But instead his hand dropped.
I look at Jordan's final shot as not just a shot, but actually as a sequence of 3 clutch events: 1) After going down by 3 after Stockton hit that dagger 3, with just 41.9 seconds left, Jordan drives and gets the clutch layup. 2) He then steals the ball from Malone, 3) ....final possession, hits the clutch shot giving him 45 points for the game, and winning the game. Now THAT'S how you will your team to win. Lot of people say "well what more could Player X have done here to win, they scored 30 points on a good percentage, it's not his fault his teammates didn't show up....." By doing things like this. By making an imprint on the game, and not just "waiting for your turn to score."
So proud that i've seen that Jordan shot live on tv with my friends. It was like 7 am here and we were 11-13 years old. Good times! And the waiting for the match. Didn't use alcohol or drugs just chips and soda. Still remember that night as yesterday.
Obaid Pirzda Lillards 3 was an enormous moment but it was due to bad defense by Parsons. How about Derek Fisher's .4 seconds game winner against the Spurs in the West Finals? Tougher shot. Bigger stage. Tougher opponent.
It's a good dunk but this is a video for "top 10 PLAYS in nba history", the guy had the ball and dunked. Might as well put a few amazing dunk contest dunks on the list. And by the way Vince Carter's dunk at the Sydney Olympics was better than number 9
+Overdose It's not about dunks. It's about plays, for example the Larry Bird and Reggie Miller clips in this video, those are amazing plays. A guy jumping over someone for a dunk doesn't belong on this list.
*Wow!* That BoingVert add is everywhere. *We just completed a massive review of the BoingVert program* on our site where we compared it to other leading programs. There are definitely better options out there if you want to learn how to jump higher.
I agree with that. If Jordan did that it would be number 1. People just won't realize LeBron's greatness until he retires. They worship Jordan and hate on LeBron that's just how it is.
Tmac's should be the best. I feel like your giving Jordan credits too easily. The context of the shot it great, but the difficulty of the shot itself wasn't at all that difficult, especially he did give him a little push on the legs, and also it wasn't a legit game winner either.
nick lomeli I know dude, but I'm saying, the shot itself wasn't that difficult when compared to other shots in the vid. It got him far in name, but the shot wasn't nearly as challenging as 13 points in 33 seconds... If you know what I mean.
That Traci Mcgrady play was hands down the best thing i have ever seen in the NBA!
*Tracy*
CucumberKris true that, that should be #1 and I'm not saying it as a T-Mac fanatic. I totally agree with you but, I'm glad it's not here. I would be too emotionally distraught to comment after watching it again. 😞
LORDS FURY Spurs got revenge the next year. If Duncan and Parker never missed those FTs smh.
wedontknow Beginning to think that that shot should have made this list. Also thinking Tyreke Evans shot should be higher.
+estilkind why? it was a regular season game. if not for Allen's shot, one of the best players of all time would be 1-5 in the finals

There's not another player on the planet that could pull that off, except MJ. That T-mac sequence is hands down, the best series of shots made since I've been watching the NBA.
No 10 is simply inhuman!! Should be no 1, easily sickest move of all time!
Amazing vid
Who think Jordan pushed on the number 1 play?
Everybody pretty much agrees he gave him a little nudge yes:) But with the way Russel was running I think MJ would end up wide open after that crossover anyway.
True DAT
Oh dude he definitely did lol anyone who's not blind could see that but I don't see the problem with it. The game was more physical back then, defensively, and offensively. It's still one of the dopest plays ever because of the way he pimped it at the end lol
Yeah
he said that jordan pushed in the video
nice list, all legendary
Tracy Mcgrady's sequence is the number 1 play IMHO. And where the hell is Ray Allen's 3 against the spurs?
that jordan shot was the single most important shot of a monumental career. the steal, the lead up, the series as a whole. there is nothing you can do to discredit it. now, his shot at #10 is a different story. amazing shot.....pretty cool "play". same as the tom chambers dunk. great dunk...pretty cool play. both are expendable
Lilliard ran all the way across the court to catch the ball and nail it all net with his team down by two and one second left.
you fail to grasp the point of anything i just said.
+Emmanuel Enyinwa first of all the game was not tied...86-85 before MJ hit the shot...no pressure?Game 6 of NBA finals and on the road...Lillard's shot was impressive but it was only during the 1st round of the playoffs...now go figure... :)
On play number one wow what a push off😄
Daniel Espinoza idk if it was a pushoff for sure. It didnt look like he put enough power to cause that distance. a lot of elite players do this (i.e. james harden, dwyane wade) to give the defender the illusion that theyre still driving.
*****
Did he nudge him?
My God, Amazing video .
Somebody knows the song name ? :/
Stefan Jovanovic jay z - the blueprint 2
Thanks bro
House Of Hoops isnt that an album?
So .Awesome and a song as well
ok i didnt know that
i have to listen to it
Those are some sweet plays...Lillard's 3 was sick. McGrady's plays were sick...Jordan's crossover was just cold blooded.
New #1 Lebrons block in game 7
its good but not #1 lol
Awesome Vid Love IT :D
Ray Allen Game 6 isn't here, not legit.
That shot was wack because they missed their first 2 attempts and only got a 3rd chance because Duncan wasn't on the court and the Spurs couldn't rebound. Horry's 2002 WCF was way better. Fisher's 0.4 second shot way better.
@@realniggashit3 LOL
Man.. I STILL love watching MJ play. He was just such a beast on the court. He wasn't only the best ever, but he just made it look SOOOO easy and smooth too.
What about "The Shot"
josh south Which one?
estilkind Jordan burying the Cavs with Ehlo guarding him
"The Shot" is generally recognized as the shot Michael Jorden hit at the buzzer to beat the Cavs in a best of 5 series in the first round.
This list is not objective enough.
josh south imo this play had more significance than the Lillard shot because the series was tied 2 to 2
That Mj shot is the most overrated shot in history. A wide open mid-range shot after an offensive foul was ignored because refs loved MJ.
Great list
you should update this video and put lbj block in game 7 of the finals
L
Amen to that
Or Kyrie's gamewinner
That Lillard shot gives me chills every time I watch it.
the brandon roy's one against the rockets is almost the same but further, so its better
+Hectorebu 11
No...Lillard's was better, his was to win the series! And I was at that Roy game.
Seems like magics hook shot vs the celts in 87 finals should of made it
Definitely. Also Bird's steal of Zeke's inbound pass and the assist to DJ.
this is top 5 greatest videos ive ever seen
Jordan push off for the best play ever? Must be a bulls fan.
+P2P 6God yeah thats the point russell didnt even complained cuz he was not pushed look on the second replay
False. Russell is well documented stating he pushed off. That's the thing though, if you're a superstar you get away w things like that. For the record, Russell has actually challenged MJ to one on one's as recent as a year ago stating that he doesn't even care if he pushes off, and that he'd still beat him in a one on one.
Dustin Carter thats was after LOL. if he thinks he was pushed he should have reacted or said it after that happens. which obviously he didnt. so no pushed off
marytifa so you're saying cause he didn't cry about it that the rules change?
Others not mentioned:
LeBron's shot against the Magic in 2009 ECF, a 3 pointer, down 2 with 1.2 seconds left.
Kobe Bryant's 3 pointer against the Pistons in 2004 Game 2.
Ray Allen's 3 against San Antonio
Derek Fisher's 20 footer against San Antonio
Steph Curry's 3 against New Orleans in 2015 Game 3.
Magic's running hook against Boston in 1985.
Vince Carter's 3 against San Antonio in 2014.
chauncey billups game-tying 3? paul millsaps 11 points in 28 seconds? tayshuan princes game saving block on reggie miller?
10 plays from the entire history of the league, man. Can't get them all
i love jewish orphans 1 cant get them all dumbasss bitch
Zane CDust ik but they are some good ones dumbass
i love jewish orphans 1 The T-Mac part in this video was him scoring 13 points in 33 seconds so it would be pointless to have Millsap's as well
Lillard's buzzer beater was legendary when you watched it live. I remember it made my body hair stand up.
Lol soo Michael. Jordan's offensive foul is number 1 smh
It wasn't a foul even the guy he crossed said he didn't push him
even the announcers said he pushed him......SMH too.
+ak nature Jordans the only guy who can commit an offensive foul and have people praise him for getting away with it.
It didn't even look like he had enough leverage to push him
even if it was an offensive foul the referres didn't saw it
Some really amazing moments I didn't know of. One amazing moment I was aware of. You left out the Doc. And I'm sure others that could replace a straight up dunk. Jordan at the top is cool.
err... sorry, but i didnt guess what the number 1 was about.. did jordan push the guy with his left hand or something?
Bill People have different opinions on it. I believe that he didn't, because if he did push him his hand would have followed through. But instead his hand dropped.
Yeah, the reggie miller play was insane. The game was a thousand times rougher back then
No Lebqueen, no Curry, no KD, no Leonard and many more... that's the real NBA. Nice vid.
LeBron Game 5 vs Detroit...nothing further needs to be said. Cavs fans all know.
10 and 9 should not be there. there should be lebron james vs magic and ray allen vs the spurs
So proud that i've seen that Jordan shot live on tv with my friends. It was like 7 am here and we were 11-13 years old. Good times! And the waiting for the match. Didn't use alcohol or drugs just chips and soda. Still remember that night as yesterday.
Even though I'm one if the biggest bulls and Michael Jordan's biggest fans ever Tracy's play was way better and why Tf was number 9 even on here?
Number 9 is the best play it always blows my mind lmao
agree no.9 is out of place
#1 is killer. Jordan ripped all Utah Jazz fans hearts out that day. Brutal!
No kobe or lebron
Just coz they're great players doesnt mean they automatically get in the top 10
House Of Hoops but how bout that cross then oop to shaq or game winning three over d wade
Obaid Pirzda idk bro, i wouldn't have kicked any off this list for those
***** Wade's play in here was a regular season game ....
Obaid Pirzda Lillards 3 was an enormous moment but it was due to bad defense by Parsons. How about Derek Fisher's .4 seconds game winner against the Spurs in the West Finals? Tougher shot. Bigger stage. Tougher opponent.
Impossible list to make. You did a pretty damn good job.
Terrible list
As you can expect from house of horseshit
+paul rodriguez agreed
@@4-CQL LOL
only #10 was worthy
good list!
How can a standard dunk be on the list
i don't see any standard dunks here
He's talking about number 9
Overdose
tru
It's a good dunk but this is a video for "top 10 PLAYS in nba history", the guy had the ball and dunked. Might as well put a few amazing dunk contest dunks on the list. And by the way Vince Carter's dunk at the Sydney Olympics was better than number 9
+Overdose It's not about dunks. It's about plays, for example the Larry Bird and Reggie Miller clips in this video, those are amazing plays. A guy jumping over someone for a dunk doesn't belong on this list.
YES! One of my favorite player is in this Top 10
Dr J?
*Wow!* That BoingVert add is everywhere. *We just completed a massive review of the BoingVert program* on our site where we compared it to other leading programs. There are definitely better options out there if you want to learn how to jump higher.
How about Lebron's final consecutive 26 points versus Piston in playoffs???
I agree with that. If Jordan did that it would be number 1. People just won't realize LeBron's greatness until he retires. They worship Jordan and hate on LeBron that's just how it is.
Please make an updated list
Tmac's should be the best. I feel like your giving Jordan credits too easily. The context of the shot it great, but the difficulty of the shot itself wasn't at all that difficult, especially he did give him a little push on the legs, and also it wasn't a legit game winner either.
The Hoper bro that shot won Jordan his last championship what are you talking about
nick lomeli I know dude, but I'm saying, the shot itself wasn't that difficult when compared to other shots in the vid. It got him far in name, but the shot wasn't nearly as challenging as 13 points in 33 seconds... If you know what I mean.
The Hoper yeah because he dropped the defender 😂😂 and made a last minute go ahead basket to win the finals lol😂
lol. that would have been a dangerous game 7 if jordan didn't make that shot and btw, there was a dunk and a steal by jordan before that.
and made all of it in less than a minute left
Nice video
0:49 this nigga be using Boingvert
