Wash day is a whole event. People don't get how you assign a whole day to it.
They don't get that you don't brush your hair daily. Tangles and fairy knots get worse by the day. So by the time you go to wash it, it's a whole mess.
I definitely use two bottles of conditioner to one bottle of shampoo. And I need a thick, heavy, super moisturizing one with a lot of slip. It's incredible how much I need. I do it in sections too with lots of hair fall. Thanks for the demonstration.

Thanks for the video. I definitely agree with sectioning. I always have 2 clips in the shower. I don’t have your density but I have good amount of hair. I don’t run the water. If I need more moisture, I add water to my brush or temporarily turn it on. I don’t want to dilute my conditioner or waste water. I like how real you are as you can always tell when people have detangled off camera. Also, a tip for those that have a hard time getting their conditioner out of the bottles, use a silicone travel bottle. They come in 2 and 3 oz and are so helpful.

I actually have some silicone travel bottles I haven’t opened. Need to check them out. Having clips in the shower is amazing. Sometimes I forget them 😭 I also love adding water to the brush sometimes that’s a great tip.

Another great video, Alexa! I've never seen anyone show us, so thoroughly, how to detangle. I don't have as much hair as you do, but I've got a lot. I'm gonna try this next wash day. I've really enjoyed this series so far. See you tomorrow.

i like that you have so much hair (many strands of hair) cause i have that much too and i struggle with it plus i don't see many curly haired people treat their own hair, usually they treat them in the beauty saloon and i h4te going to the beauty saloon cause i always dislike they way they treat my hair there.

Hands down the best video on detangling curly hair!! I just came out from the shower with the smallest hairball ever after years of ripping off my hair and hating it. Nobody really taught me how to properly do it until now. Thank you so much!!!! ♥️♥️♥️
Also, I'd love to hear your opinion on pre-pooing. I like the idea of oiling and protecting my hair before the shampoo, but it's just impossible for me to brush it dry. Is it really meant for everyone?

Hey I love your vids 🤗 I’m just learning how to take care of my curls and I’m wondering if there’s a difference between using a wide tooth comb vs using a brush to detangle?

Thank you! Personally I have an easier time with a brush versus a wide tooth comb. It’s all preference.

Slapping the shed hair to the shower wall or door to keep it from going into the drain is a key part of the process, yes? Just me then?🤭
