iRacing should be used for Texas. That track NEEDS the old banking back.

What In Carnation? True. Although, it’s much more expensive and labor intensive to repave or change the banking.

@@Lunari_xo Brian Keselowski was upset that JR Motorsports was having media days for their iRacing team, and said that treating them like real drivers was a mental diesease. He then compared them to school shooters who play FPS games.

LOL, for all the confused people in the comment section just be aware that iRacing has a bunch of people who drank their koolaid and do their marketing for them, by acting like petulant little children and proclaiming that their little game with pretend race cars driven with toy wheels is the pipeline to stardom, hell there are a not small group of people in the iRacing community who think that their little NASCAR sponsored series on their video game with pretend race cars driven by toy wheels has drivers, who've never turned competitive laps in an actual Cup car deserve a spot in the NASCAR Hall of Fame. I wish I was kidding folks, but thats a thing that is actually happening.
As for the Brian K thing, he made some comment on twitter about how these pretend race car drivers with toy wheels getting a media day from NASCAR and iRacing, cool thing to use for marketing, but the legit complaint here is why are these kids with toy wheels driving pretend race cars on a computer getting a full blown media day thats getting covered on all these websites, blowing money on a pretend race car series, while ACTUAL drivers in the lower ranks could be lucky to have their picture on the NASCAR website.
The iRacing viral marketing team [aka the drivers with sub 1000 iRatings] get on twitter and pile on Brian calling him a boomer and an idiot, that they turn faster laps than him [in a pretend race car] and could easily replace him.
Theres a reason why iRacing isn't well liked by the rank and file of the sim racing community and things like that are one of them, it and its community takes itself so seriously, that its actually hindering the growth of the general sim racing scene, having a 47 page code of conduct giving you 2 month bans from iRacing for "actions detrimental to iRacing" for such minor things as having harmless memes on your paint, telling the guy who just spun you out to f off or for just simple constructive criticism of the tyre model.
Oh and for the people reading this and asking how seriously some of these pretend race car drivers take it. Brace yourself for this one. A mid to late 20's still living at home pizza delivery driver, maxed out tens of thousands of dollars on credit cars to buy half a cup frame, put a skin on it, load it with sim gear, don himself a I kid you not, Firesuit, and then LARP around as a real driver. I wish I was kidding. This actually happened, he also did some scummy stuff in his personal life that I won't talk about but I'm sure if this comment doesnt get deleted, somebody from the iRacing "Viral Marketing Team" will surely tell you the story about what he did there.
And one more thing about how iRacing's community takes these pretend race cars serious to almost parody levels. There are some iRacing teams that make you SIGN A CONTRACT drawn up BY A LAWYER to drive on their team with all sorts of "are you kidding me this is just a game" levels of terms and conditions. Yes, that exists too. For a video game, with toy wheels and pretend race cars, that you aren't even getting paid enough to get a case of beer after the race for.
Is iRacing for you? Maybe, it has a good selection of cars and series, an excellent library of laser scanned tracks and a large, hyper loyal, almost cult like community that drinks the koolaid 24/7 lest Papa John Henry doesn't ban you from his little game with toy wheels and pretend race cars, because you step out of line once, bam! you're suspended.
    Signed,
Pretend Race Car Driver who doesn't take this stuff as serious as the iRacing larpers do.
