Man this AI sure isn't smart if it can't figure out why the aliens are hostile to it or why deleting all of the aliens' weapons is a poor diplomatic move. This is like a teenager given a superweapon.
Best thing about HFY is that there is enough content for everyone to make videos about. The image fits so well. I've really been meaning to ask, what AI (if any) are you guys using, cuz I've been wanting to make some stuff like that for my Starfinder tabletop rpg sessions.
Stationary relative to all frames of reference? That would be really weird to somehow be stationary relative to frames of reference that are moving relative to each other. Weird on the level of “basic physics no longer makes any sense”.
It's one of those things that sounds very impressive, but doesn't actually make sense. Not from a logical or a physical point. It's just word salad, arranged to look cool and nothing else.
If it was possible to be stopped relative to all frames of reference you would slip out of the universe as far as anyone not affected could tell.. So to all frames of reference they KNEW to check maybe?
Returning people to life, restoring a 1000 ships that were destroyed, erasing memories and even unsoiling pants...this is so over the top god-like that it makes me think the writer activates god mode on every game he buys without ever playing it on normal mode. This started out interesting until the human arrived and started undoing everything.

Like Humanity even evolved and advanced would share THAT level of technology with another universe. Compensate them, repair the damage, help them understand how to use it .. yes. But given what was seen of the lifeform .. giving them incredible powers and tech will only result in another malfunction to clean up, this time on a universal scale. Sigh.
Not exactly 10 years is not enough for them to reach human level technology at very least only propelled them to civilization type 3 or 4 while humankind at type 30 and above
Most conflicts are over limited resources, you just gave them access to infinite resources for their needs. And you also seem to be forgetting that there's only 2 other species as hyper aggressive as humans can be on this planet and kill their own. That's a 3 out of over 340 million distinct species we've observed donig that. The chances that a sentient alien species would be as aggressive as us is highly unlikely.
Ten years to study billions of years of history and technological progress? Barely enough to understand how the light switches work now. Just about enough time to truly understand exactly how far behind you are though.

I have to admit this was not my taste. Love the stories of this channel but it is for what humans excel at. We are not qualifying for god beings even in a billion years I fear.

How would you know, anyway? You can't check on every frame of reference in the universe!

Very interesting short SfYi story. I thought it would be interesting and well written.
That one was great!
And I guess a bit influenced by the late Iain M. Banks Culture!
Which would be a good thing.

if bronze age people had access to wikipedia (and we did teach them how to read it, of course) that would immeasurably help them
