I totally agree that the ball python market is so ridiculously over priced, and growing at a critically fast rate. Though, I admit, I have spent $400 on a ball python. But this boy was not only absolutely gorgeous, he was also the sweetest little baby I've ever met! I asked to hold him at a reptile show with no intentions of buying him. I just thought he was stunning and wanted to take a picture. But the way he went up my arm to my face and flicked his little tongue on my nose convinced me that I couldn't leave without him! He's now my pride and joy. I would never spend that much on a snake though just because I thought it was pretty. This boys sweet personality was just everything!
This comment pretty much summed up everything I’ve ever thought about and done. I went to a breeder to get a ball python and I had intentions of looking at other snakes. But the first one I picked up I knew was the one. He is now my beautiful baby boy
I love the story. And 400dollars is still ok. But if it cost 1000 dollars. No then I not buying it. For 250-400 dollars you have already an amazing ball python. And the normals are beautiful too.
You're honestly my favorite animal youtuber. You are so respectful and caring for your animals, I've seen a lot of animal/pet youtubers who brag about their pets and make their pets seem like accessories and not an actual living creature. You are so educated and you never give out false information unlike some people.
i love how serious and responsible you are about your channel and the content you put out. i really appreciate how much you care for not only your own pets but about how the videos and information you share might affect other people and their pets as well. really good to see such a great source and influence online!
StealingSunsets Any designer animal really. No animal deserves to be treated as an item, that’s why I love emzotic, because you can tell she really genuinely cares for her animals, and even when they had the blackout during the snowstorm, she did so much even though they didn’t have power. 💗
I am sorry but with I am someone with a "designer" dog, I do not love him anyless just because He is the type or color of dog that I wanted. And I do not miss treat or disrespect my dog just because of that ethier. This is so stupid.
@@haannishh Nobody said you mistreat your dog, sweetie. We just feel that it's pretty insane that there's an entire industry of people contributing to overpopulation while simultaneously making thousands of dollars on (often, unhealthy) dogs for shallow reasons when there's tens of thousands of equally beautiful and incredible dogs in shelters for extremely low adoption fees that will either be killed or spend their lives in a cage. Don't get defensive because you feel guilty - just do better next time.
Oh my goodness! I didn't know you owned a Calabar GP! I saw one for the first time a couple of months ago and became totally fascinated by him and what side the head was and what side the butt was! What a cute little snake!
Thank you Em for explaining why you haven’t made an all my pets video, at least yet. I think it’s very important to recognize that lots of youtubers do indeed see it as a competition when it should be viewed as education instead. Caring for one life, let alone many, is not an easy task by any means and I wish that more individuals who have this lifestyle with a variety of creatures would touch upon how difficult it is rather than making it look like a “fairy tale zoo life” because that’s not the reality. You’re so educational you really could turn an all my pets video into an in depth, one on one conversation about why this lifestyle of owning so many animals isn’t for everyone. Yes everyone wants to know every single animal that’s in your care but showing those creatures is 100% your choice. There are very valid reasons why owners would choose to not show their animals and the audience should always respect that. We are happy to see your animals, but I’m being undoubtedly honest when I say that we are here for YOU. Whatever else you show, educate, talk about, and inspire is just an added bonus.
Ive been battling with this a lot. I do have more animals than the average household, but fewer than other pet youtubers. I just dont want people to think its 'normal' or 'ok' because theyve seen pet youtubers (me) doing something similar online. I show less than 1% of the work it takes to look after my animals, and if people knew how much effort, expense and sacrifice it comes at, they would change their minds. I dont live in a dream land xxx
Emzotic I completely agree. Caring for so many lives is not a dream, it’s a job. It’s a lifestyle. It’s a commitment. Coming from someone who rescues animals and personally cares for over 50, I absolutely understand that no one knows the work you’re putting in but you. No one knows the hours upon hours of physical, mental and emotional work that it takes to give so many animals a thriving life. But I have to say, sharing that work with others and on this platform is EXACTLY the difference between them making an educated and a non educated decision. It’s easy to want to show the pretty “Pinterest” version of the amazing work you do for your animals, but showing the dirty, grimy, tear and blood creating work is just as necessary because it’s half of the reality. It may be hard especially having so many followers but trust that the people who truly support you are the ones who want to see the hard work you do because that’s what they want to support the most. ❤️
Agree with you so much on designer ball pythons!!! Imo, the natural look of an animal will always be just as pretty and desirable as any unnatural colouring.
For sure! I think there are some truly incredible morphs out there, but I HATE, HATE HAAATTTEEE the mass importation and mass breeding that goes on just so that a handful of 'designer' snakes can be produced and sold at a premium. Animals should NOT be classed or viewed as 'designer'.
Erica Clacher They are induced by people. They take mutations that would be incredibly rare in the wild and breed them over and over again. You wouldn't just stumble across a ton of pink-orange-pied-whatever's in the wild.
I have been suuuper fascinated by snakes lately, and I've actually been considering getting a ball python at some point this year! I actually didn't know that about how snakes who "dont want" frozen don't actually need live and will eventually eat the frozen, but that definitely makes sense because like...why on earth would an animal starve themselves to death out of stubbornness hahaha
Please don't ever let a ball python go without food for a year, just because you don't want to feed live. If that's the case get one that's already eating frozen. In the wild ball pythons will typically only ever fast for about 6 months, so forcing them to double that cause you cant or don't want to feed live, is just plain wrong in my opinion. You can starve any animal to force it to eat what you want, doesn't mean it's an ethical practice or one that should be encouraged. Otherwise thought it was a fantastic informative video 👍
Tasheena Klyne She was weighing him twice weekly. He didn’t loose any weight. I’m sure if he did she would have fed live. But if they are loosing weight and won’t eat frozen then FEED LIVE
I always wondered that. Some youtubers say that you HAVE to feed live if they wont eat frozen but I always thought it made more sense that the snake would eat frozen before it would starve
I've just found your channel! As a owner of quite a few pets myself, I love the care you clearly take to ensure that your animals come first 😁 subscribed
Definitely appreciate your views on the snake trade and the desire for designer ball pythons as I do believe a lot of the trade can be money orientated and selfish HOWEVER I do know a lot of breeders of these animals and as a biologist myself I think with genuine people breeding snakes the attraction is actually in the genetics and for this love of genetics in general rather than just money hungry means
Hi Em, love your video. I absolutely adore snakes. Watching this video gave me a lot of comfort about my ball python. I got her in February from the White Plains Reptile Expo and she still hasn’t eaten for me no matter what I tried. So to hear that Kaa didn’t eat for so long for you puts my mind at ease knowing that I’ve tried everything but I just need to give her time and she will come along. I’m not used to having such a picky eater like her. I currently have two pythons, a western hognose, a MBK and a Kenyan sand boa. The only two who give me feeding troubles are my Kenyan and my one python. But I will be patient and let them come around. Thank you for sharing your snakes with us! I really enjoyed them 💜
I don't keep any snakes myself, buy my boyfriend has a female corn snake named Alice! She's around 6 years old? She wasn't originally his, she was my best friend's first, and she got Alice from our local humane society. That's why I estimate her age. I want a ball python and a children's python in the future, and some other reptiles. My living situation means I can only have my cat, but one day...!
I have a childrens python and I could not recommend less! She has such a big personality for a little snake. She is super curious and gets into everything! Whenever I walk near her cage she scopes me out. She also loves being handled and meeting new people. I am registering her as a therapy animal because she helps me with a chronic illness. But, if she wasn't going to be my therapy animal, she would make a great addition to an educational program.
I’m so glad you keep some of your life private! There is defiantly a line that has to be drawn between sharing and oversharing and I respect you so much that yo I stand up for your private life. Also, I agree with you about the ball python trade, I do however own a designer morph it’s more because I adore BPs and not because I support the thousand of breeders chugging out babies like factories, and plus I bought my designer baby from a small time breeder who is very selective and only breeds certain genes, but that’s besides the point, but my pride and joy is my normal rescue BP Aries, so named for his fiery spirit :)
My 3 year old son and I have been loving watching all your videos. He’s too young to have a pet but he can enjoy seeing all of yours! Thanks for sharing.
You’ve really made my day today. I’ve had a pretty bad mental health and anxiety today and your videos and vibe always seem to make me smile even when I’m low. Thank you so much for your amazingness❤️ keep doing what you doing because you really do make people happy and make there day!! Love you lots Em
Some of the ball/royal ptthon morphs are absolutely gorgeous but a "normal" one is definetely still beautiful too so i just dont understand how some people spend up to like 2,500 on some fancy morph when they could just pay 10-15 for a "normal" one they just seem to want to show off their "fancy" snake But i love snakes and if i could i would get any snake no matter what it looks like theyre all beautiful to me 😍💖🐍
Squishcake i mean... but what if we don’t want the standard morph? if i’m going to have an animal that i can really only look at for the majority of time i want it be something beautiful to my eyes. i just don’t care much for the standard...it’s dull and i prefer bright colors which is why i prefer colubrids over pythons.
I have a seven month old Mexican black kingsnake who really seems to dislike being handled. He's not striking at me much, but he does musk and shakes his tail. I've heard that they become more docile sometimes as they get older and out of the "everything's going to eat me" stage, but I'm curious as to what your experience has been with yours. I'd really prefer not to stress him out, but do want him to get used to me so tank cleaning, feeding, etc is as stress free as possible for him. I've tried to find information on what would be best as far as frequency of handling and such, but there are hundreds if not thousands of opinions and it's hard to know what's right. I'd really value your input as you, too, truly seem to care about the happiness of your animals.
I love how informative this video is! Most people just show their animal and move on to the next, but I really love that you explained so much about each snake here! I feel like I learned a lot!
I have been a subscriber to this channel for around a year now, and unlike other channels I have seen, you have still kept your videos interesting and educational. Whilst I was having doubts about buying my first pet python your video about your stunning blood python was really reassuring about how docile and adorable they could be! Thank you for your amazing videos, without you I would have never have met my precious python, she is the most lovable pet I have owned and she honestly owns my heart. Thank you Em, and it has been an honour to watch your channel and community grow so fast! #creaturecrew !
I know this is a reptile video but I would loooooooove to see you educate everyone about sugar gliders 😍 they're very unique creatures that get mistaken for rodents when they're actually in the marsupial family. Please and thank you 👍
I love the fact that you don't bash the people who have to give away/rehome their snakes. So often I see people online bash others who have had to give away their pets and it makes me so mad.People don't realize that not everyone who gives away/rehomes their pet didn't care and love that pet.Things happen, and sometimes the best thing for an animal is to find it a home with someone who can give it the proper care and attention.
Hi Em. On the subject of all of you're animals and showing them, do as you please. We all love you're decisions and I personally deeply respect you. Much love!
Clifford is such a gorgeous snake! And so does Oreo! And Pork Chop is just so cute! Actually I find all snakes cute and gorgeous in their own unique ways~
Finally somebody speaks up a bit against morph madness. In Germany the maybe most reputable Boa breeders (H+E Stöckl), and one of the few specialized in pure bred rare Island variations, completely stopped color morphs. They went for naturally occurring variations instead ... their color morphs had to many health issues (fertility, longevity, etc)... next to that, wild-types are the most beautiful. A human can't beat evolution in breeding.
I love your view on pets, you can really tell you are passionate about them and this isn't about money or how many you own. Thank you for your awesome videos!
could you make a video "which snake is right for you?" i really want to get either a hognose or a ball python and i don;t trust anyone else on the internet apart from you, thank you!
Have you watched Clints Reptiles? I believe hes just as trust worthy as Emily hes a biologist and makes videos specifically to help people decide what reptile is best for them
I have three snakes: ball python, milk snake, and corn snake. Love them to bits! Thank you for posting this video. Always enjoy learning more about snakes!
Thanks for having a great channel and doing what you do because your content was with me when it seemed nothing else was. You really are a great UA-camr but even a better person.
I love your laugh 😂 when you laughed I started laughing so hard and then you got serious😂😂 you crack me up every time I watch your videos!! Your awesome!!!
love your comment about the ball python industry ! I stopped watching youtubers who refer to their snakes as if they are collector toys. glad you're on youtube!
Oh my god, I’m a new subscriber but THANK YOU for existing. Every other reptile/animal room tour I’ve seen on UA-cam has made me cringe hard. I’m delighted that you showcase some classic old school gem species and know your terminology. From one hardcore keeper to another, fantastic job with your animals.
i've just adopted a Californian kingsnake yesterday. I've been wanting a snake since a very long time, but since there are no "good" breeders where i live and i basically never buy animals from shops, i checked at a local shelter nearly every week for like two years lol.
The only real reason I like all my pets video is because when I find a channel like yours I like to know where to start and have a bit of an overview :') Have just found your channel and so glad i did
I love you so much. I have watched all your videos at least 3 times. I’m always so excited when you upload a new video. I’ve got a question, do you and Danny share pets or do you have your own separate pets? Does Danny like to be private because I really want to see his pets as well. Also I’m 12 and love you and Danny so much and tell Danny he must start his own UA-cam channel if he doesn’t have one already. Like so Em can see please
After hearing the first part of this video about the ignorance of all my pets videos I just subscribed. Thank you so much for seeing through those videos.
I used to hate reptiles..but after watching your videos, I really wanna pet some of them. Lots and lots of love for u. Your videos are amazing. And you are such a caring and loving person
I have a milksnake and two ball pythons! But I love all snakes. This was a great video! You’re such a responsible pet owner. Something rare on UA-cam these days. Love your Honduran milkshakes but all your snakes are gorgeous ❤️
Hey Creatures!! Welcome back to my channel! I hope you enjoy meeting all my snakes in one, convenient video.

I ain't even mad if you keep going closer to the camera ♥ We love you Em!
Yay I’m finally early! I love your channel Em and I’m inspired by your story. Animals saved me from anxiety and you make me feel happy. Thanks again
I never realized how strong my love for snakes was until I watched some of your snake videos! They really are beautiful creatures!
That’s funny, just before she started complaining about her hair I thought “she’s so pretty, especially her hair” XD
I just discovered this channel and i cant stop now. I am addicted.
All your snakes are gorgeous but I just love Zombie 😍, she is so beautiful
I have been a subscriber to this channel for around a year now, and unlike other channels I have seen, you have still kept your videos interesting and educational. Whilst I was having doubts about buying my first pet python your video about your stunning blood python was really reassuring about how docile and adorable they could be! Thank you for your amazing videos, without you I would have never have met my precious python, she is the most lovable pet I have owned and she honestly owns my heart. Thank you Em, and it has been an honour to watch your channel and community grow so fast! #creaturecrew !
Love your nails and hair em!!
I don't keep animals and never have but it's so fascinating. Your charisma and love for animals is admirable.
“Its a snake, its not a hand bag”... that is kind of funny because of snake skin purses.
Woooah I hadn't noticed tHaT 🤪
STEVE AND ME IS MY FAVORITE BOOK EVER IM SO GLAD YOU HAVE IT!
*cries* Em has such beautiful hair. If she thinks her hair looks like the beast. Mine looks like a lion with a REALLY bad hair day. Love you em
Hi Em. On the subject of all of you're animals and showing them, do as you please. We all love you're decisions and I personally deeply respect you. Much love!
Hi could you maybe do a tour of cages or something
"who needs dumbbells when you have a Bess" lol
I have a western hognose named Buddy :) and I love him to bits!
There is no such thing as to close. HUG ME PEOPLE. I REQUIRE PHYSICAL TOUCH.
Clifford is such a gorgeous snake! And so does Oreo! And Pork Chop is just so cute! Actually I find all snakes cute and gorgeous in their own unique ways~
Your snakes are adorable especially the rubber boa
As an Aussie, Terri Irwin's book behind you makes me happy.
for personal space anxiety.. it got triggered around 00:13
You and Tyler Rugge are the only pet youtubers that I can confidently believe actually care very well for their animals
Such beautiful rhinos! I've been wanting one for a while but have been having difficulty finding breeders unfortunately
Are you blind? They're _clearly_ emus.
You are definitely blind these are bats
When you were getting closer... I got even closer and my nose was touching the screen
I would really like to see the terrariums
Unverhäderlich. TV not to be rude but if a animal lives in one its a vivarium
A human can't beat evolution in breeding.
the start of the video had me dying hahaha
❤ Love You and Danny! Your my inspiration to follow my animal career dreams 🐶🐱🐍
You’re one of the most respectable pettubers ever
I like this Cuban boi
Thanks for having a great channel and doing what you do because your content was with me when it seemed nothing else was. You really are a great UA-camr but even a better person.
I love your laugh 😂 when you laughed I started laughing so hard and then you got serious😂😂 you crack me up every time I watch your videos!! Your awesome!!!
love your comment about the ball python industry ! I stopped watching youtubers who refer to their snakes as if they are collector toys. glad you're on youtube!
i rlly like ur jacket it looks so soft
Oh my god, I’m a new subscriber but THANK YOU for existing. Every other reptile/animal room tour I’ve seen on UA-cam has made me cringe hard. I’m delighted that you showcase some classic old school gem species and know your terminology. From one hardcore keeper to another, fantastic job with your animals.
I was going to have a productive evening....
Then Em uploads
Raphael Castro 😂😂😂
They’re all absolutely beautiful! I loved the personalities of Ka and Goodyear for sure ❤️😍
Wow Em your snakes are beautiful♡♡
Also never had a comment so please comment♡
MWAH!!!
Thank you soo much Emma I LOVE you soo much all your animals are so beautiful and so are you♡😗
Also I know this video is on snakes but my bearded dragon is not really interested in his veggies. Got any ideas to help him eat??
Samantha Biggins if you hide some worms or treats under them that should work, or just wiggle them.(Sorry if this doesn’t work)
Feel better Em!
Please upload more about your ferrets
i've just adopted a Californian kingsnake yesterday. I've been wanting a snake since a very long time, but since there are no "good" breeders where i live and i basically never buy animals from shops, i checked at a local shelter nearly every week for like two years lol.
The shade is strong in this video 😂
The only real reason I like all my pets video is because when I find a channel like yours I like to know where to start and have a bit of an overview :')
Have just found your channel and so glad i did
I love you so much.
Hope you feel better Em! Love your videos and really love your passion for animals!
Your hair is amazing xx
After hearing the first part of this video about the ignorance of all my pets videos I just subscribed. Thank you so much for seeing through those videos.
