- This is North Kern State Prison's addition to the Law Enforcement Lip Syn Challenges that are sweeping the nation! North Kern State Prison is located in Delano, California. It is part of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation prison system.
We do not own any of the songs or music contained in this video.

I’m an ex-Lifer, did 24 yrs on a 30-life. Got out in 2015, never hit NKSP though. Got a cool chuckle out of this video, gotta remember that at the end of the day…..COs are regular people and like to have fun too. In every profession you have people that do their jobs professionally and compassionately, and some that are uncaring jerks. It’s no different with COs, their are some good people and some A-holes. Same with prisoners. God bless🙏🏼

I did 13 years I only did a lay over at Kern. Been home since 2017. Although I found this video hilarious. But all the prison buildings, the guards and that awful bus rides when being transferred is a reminder to keep my black ass out of trouble. Side note my 2 year old daughter is on my lap singing and clapping her hands to the music!

Did 4 years there. Great to see them having fun. There's no words to express the gratitude I have for these people. 15 years sober now. There's good and bad people everywhere you go but this staff, the CO'S, everyone there affected my life in such a positive way. Thank you Ms. Martinez, Alvedrez and all the CO'S even the ones who didn't like me lol keep up the good work.
A big shout out to all staff at kern county state prison ,i recognized alot of you and the background captured in the video you guys all have amazing personalities that I never saw in your day to day life escorting me or other inmates around the prison because you were doing your job ofcourse but to see you guys in this video letting loose having fun put a smile on my face you guys did an excellent job in the lipsyinc contest 😁👍I like to say that I finally been living a good life style I'm no longer on parole been off for over 10 years now and I'm clean & sober enjoying being a grandpa to my 3 grandkids living life as a normal law abiding citizen thanks to the grace of God and all the times I found myself in a cell with only a bible to read the seed was planted when all other ways failed na/aa , court ordered clean & sober living houses , long or short prison terms or violations ...? I found myself out here in turlock ca at a park called (cran park) I dropped to my knees and cried out to God asked him to forgive me of my sins to come into my life help me become a normal citizen that I will do everything in my will power if he can please help me the rest of the way to successfully getting life right ,man after that pray I realized I had a glass pipe and a bag of crystal the devil was telling me you could start tomorrow then an angel told me remember what you told Jesus you will do everything in your power ....I rebuked satan walked to the street gutter smashed the glass pipe and emptied the bag I had so no kids would come across that evil poisoning stuff that ruin a lot of people's lives and today I'm a Christian who is living a life being clean & sober I believe every prison should have Bibles in every empty cell for the inmate who will be in that cell who will be so board eventually he or she will pick it up and read the Bible God works in mysterious ways he has his own timing for everything, he will never give unto thee anymore then one can bare . I believe by reading the word in prison a seed was planted out here I got sick & tired of the repeating cycle of homeless, drugs,and prison that I cried out to God and he heard my cry and got me back on standing on solid ground today I dont like drugs or anything that impairs my way of thinking clearly, today I can honestly say I love my reflection in the mirror of whom I am today that I finally am living life right I never wanted to die as a failure , i always wanted to succeed in becoming a normal citizen, thank you JESUS CHRIST 🙂🙏🏼♥️🕊

This was awesome,makes us think that if fun things like this happen here,these people are great that someday in our future our loved one may be here at this one,and for us it may not be so frightening.Realizing of course its not every day but things like this create a healing environment and positivity for inmates.❤

Great video, I wish the "lip sync challenge" had been around when I was assigned to Pelican Bay State Prison Security Squad, before I retired in 2005. What an incredible experience that was. :-)

Hi Greg....from watching other lip synch videos. Some of them wrote on the video no taxpayers money was spent to make the video. And, the officers did this on their own time. Also, at the end of many videos they would thank various banks and businesses. So I assume the money was donated. You must have enjoyed watching the videos, and listening to the music. I've been watching for several weeks now. @@gregortega2767
