Id be curious to see a video on the ninth doctor. He seems pretty interesting for an upkeep themed deck but its hard to find a good decklist given that the doctors companion people will most likely use can be any color so lots of different colors could be used.
I appreciate the deck review So, a couple of things. First off, a lot of cards in there that you were picking on were me looking for things with trample because I wanted some thing that threatened even when I am low creature count, but black is low on trample options, so I was just put in the option I had. I was designing this deck as get out a big mana cost carry, get out Meep, kill everyone in one big alpha strike, so I was building towards that, so trample was a lot more important there. There are some of them, specifically Olibterator, that I will probably keep because they are super fun cards to play, even if they don't get the most synergy with the rest of it. We'll see how it goes as it develops Also, to a card you were picking at, Bitterblossom is staying in mostly cause Emrakul is staying in. I adore Emrakul, The Promised End. Eldritch Moon is my favorite set, anything from that set gets a lot of love for me, and Bitterblossom is a card that sort of synergies with my deck, while also having that all important tribal type to help cheapen Emrakul, so that card is super staying in. Also, you made a rules error in talking about Phyrexian Fleshgorger. Prototype does in fact change it's mana cost. From the rulings ```When cast as a prototyped spell, that spell has the mana cost, power, and toughness characteristics shown in its colored, secondary text box rather than the normal values of those characteristics. Its color and mana value are determined by that mana cost``` I think that has it's pros and cons. It's a worse sac target, but it helps with some other things, and I think the combo of Menace and Lifelink is real good when we can make it big later. Ancient Stone Idol has been in and out of this deck, so it's def one on my mind. As I said before, I was designing this around the one big alpha strike, so having to do a big swing out to make him cheap was what was keeping him from the list currently. In a same vein, Death Rattle Oni doesn't have to be my creatures dying. It's use case was for when my opponents have messy combat with each other, he cleans up the board real nice, without any of my creatures needing to die, cause flash. Overall, I will think on what direction I want to go with this deck. As you said, there are many directions, and so I need to think on what direction I enjoy the most. Love your work as always, and you will see another draft of this eventually.
My bad on fleshgorger, definitely not as good then. I did think of Ancient Stone Idol as a card for the one big alpha strike as you lower the mana, cast, sac it all in one attack phase. Meep is really interesting and he's been on my mind since I made this video, very strange commander - I'm sure there will be some very cool decks with him out soon.
In only about hallway but if you do lean into devotion to black, Grave Pact seems to have great synergy, and Phyrexian Arena helps keep you gassed up. Bitterblossom seems good, too, for evasive tokens but is expensive (though it did get a reprint recently so price may have dropped). Glistening Oil is good with small evasive creatures like Tormented Soul or Changeling Outcast (Will-o'-the-Wisps gets an honorable mention here for having flying and being able to regenerate).
I specified devotion to black because I had Nyx Lotus on my mind to get out the high CMC cards out quicker. Also creatures like Abhorrent Overlord and Underworld Hermit are high CMC token generators that use devotion to get the most out of their ETB triggers (then can be sacrificed to significantly buff those tokens).
Black Market (no I do not mean Black Market Connections) should be in the deck, cause you are killing creatures the whole time. Its virtually free mana every turn

My first thought here was Threefold Thunderhulk as it go wide and is a 0/0. Also kinda matches the sacrifice theme too.

How about tasigur for a fast delve creature to sac?
He is BGU color identity because of his activated ability, so this sadly can't play him
All hail The Meep

the meep is a bad guy
