I love how u gave our Aussie music scene a go & have honestly become a huge fan of our musical talent. We are extremely lucky & the majority never made it internationally but our music is truly & uniquely Strayan, that's why they never made it, the rest of the world just didn't understand us & still don't but we are so lucky to be brought up on our music.

So true. Most other places in the world you have to fit into a particular category- either your pop or country or R&B and if you don't pick a lane they don't know what to do. Our Aussie artists just are. They're a unique blend of so many influences and we're all just ok with it and embrace it for what they're giving us

@@ThatSingerReactions Back 30/40/50yr ago Straya was still a country that was little known to the world. We were even looked at as being backward bush wackers that still had no electricity & we lived in grass huts or tin sheds, i dunno mate, but we weren't taken seriously, we weren't known to be a country of music & we are known to be a sporting country, which is still true today. Mate, the 70's & 80's were huge decades of Aussie music & a reason maybe our artists weren't taking seriously was because the Aussie bands were hugely patriotic & sang alot about our country & way of life. Great Southern Land by Icehouse is for me is the quit essential song about our country & i mean we are also known as the Great Southern Land & when the song starts it actually gives me goosebumps. Another Aussie group that u might be interested in looking at are The Black Sorrows, i think their music, songs & the Bull sisters vocals are brilliant & I'm sure once u heard the sisters sing u would be amazed. So much respect for u mate, Ta so much for giving our little big country ago.

@@kimr7139 Yeah nah mate ur spot on. It's who we are musically as a nation. I mean i know Acca Dacca are our most successful band internationally but that doesn't mean that they are Straya's #1 band nationally, i think Cold Chisel knock Acca Dacca of the top of the pops, i love Acca Dacca but i love Chisel more. About 20yrs ago i was lucky enough to go to the Horden in Sydney to see Chisel in a reunion tour & i was in my early 20's at the time & i spent the night crying lol. Then find stars like Diesel, Angry Anderson, SplitENZ EVERY WEEKEND! .You are living our weekends. You are so cool. All you need now is an ACCA/DACCA tshirt.x

Thank you for taking the time to share our home grown talent of singers to a much wider audience. Your reaction & critique is priceless, and dare I say watching how passionate you get towards the negative comments made about our singers is gold. The genuine admiration you have shown everytime has been well received with respect from our end.
It's also great to hear many more Aussies are tuning in & subscribing your channel.
But your contacts bro? Even I don't have regular chats, zoom etc with the Barnes family, Diesel (your man) not to mention one of our morning shows! That's awesome news. We are all excited for you.
Keep them reactions coming & an update in regards to your interview so we can tune in too.
And most of all, it's a relief to see your equipment is still intact. So many close calls reacting to the Aussie singers lol.

When that clip ended and went to John Swan singing I Was a Carpenter. You should have let it run. Trust me. That's the best Swannie video.

This is an Otis Redding cover, but Diesel does an amazing job on it! 👏 It must be something in the water in Australia! 🤔 😊

I love Diesel!! I remember I was in high school and I read a review of his concert that said something like: "he ignores the audience and makes love to his guitar and microphone on stage".

Agreed! Seen a lot of top, world famous acts in concert, only Diesel had me leaving the gig walking on air feeling irrepressible joy.

As an Aussie thats lived in the UK for 15 years one thing that is similar between the UK and Australia which I don't think happens in the US is a lot of bands come up through the pub scene and here in the UK we have Radio 1 which has an introducing new talent section same as Triple J at home does which obviously is how Silverchair were discovered. Also from my experience the music festival scene here in the UK is similar to home but obviously on a much larger scale. When I was here in 1999 I saw Super Jesus at a club for £5 and as you walked in the photos of past acts were amazing like Counting Crows etc. I also got to see Powderfinger here in London and listening to thousands of people sing My Happiness was the best. I've always felt its unfortunate that the US doesn't know more about our music
