I just bought one and I happen to have these batteries and It works! The only thing that drives me nuts about the Yashica light meters, is you don't know if the light meter is doing anything unless you push the battery check or it's way over or under exposed. Would have been nice if they had a green light to let you know you are at the right exposure.
What a beauty. Just trying to figure out what’s going on with my new electro. The battery is probably old and only the Over light comes on and never the slow...the current battery is a 3V CR123A photo battery. any insight?
MarkAnthony Calderon one cr2 battery, plus two LR44 batteries. Both can be found on amazon. I’d look up what battery should be used in the camera via the manual first and try to find it online or in stores.

if you are at the right exposure the light stays off
@@reinasaeed2364 Yes, once you tune into it, it's not an issue.
I added 2 gearing aid batteries and it works a treat. I did buy an adapter of eBay originally but not as good

if this doesn't work i was able to fix it by doing the exact same thing just putting in 3 lr44 over top instead of 2
two different types of batteries are not supposed to mix, I was told
I did that exact same thing with tested batts and no joy. Could my Electro be damaged?
make your battery longer with spring/aluminium foil, maybe it'll help
I use only 4 x LR44 for my GSN . CR123A is lithium and LR44 is alkaline. The capacity of CR123A is more than LR44 .
Heyy can you tell me how did you put the LR44 battery inside it??
@@rheaanand738 I used 16 mm. upvc conduit to made adapter inside diameter is 12.7 mm. and LR44 diameter is 11.6 mm.
Hi can u help me out with it? I alr have the battery (4lr44)

Do you know where I can buy the battery and the adapter. I have the same camera.
Hi, would you be able to provide a link to an adapter and battery that worked for you?
@@shahis11 He bought 2types of batterys... there is no need for any adapter
