the meaning behind "so whenever you ask me again, how i feel, please remember my answer is you." is basically like his partner is saying "is this the end of us?" and jaehyun/d.ear is saying how they would choose their partner over breaking the relationship.

I was crying alot and thinking about my life. This pandemic really hits different, I haven't seen my friends for a long time and I haven't talk to them. And I was wondering why everyday is same. I have no interactions, I don't have friends anymore and I can't do whatever I want because of the pandemic. And thinking about what is my purpose in life? I'm so thankful that NCT 2020 happened. And I am so happy that I stanned NCT again. I felt inspired, happy, loved and appreciated. I listened to this again and I stopped crying. This song is so beautiful. Jaehyun's voice is so angelic, so is d.ear. I am thankful because I found this talented artists. And the most important thing that I felt inspired. I want to make a music like them. I found my purpose. I am happy to hear these kind of voices. For me, being a fan is not only about appriciating someone's music and idolizing them. It's also about being inspired.
