As a father of a son no way I would have let my son keep fighting after the 2nd knockdown ESPECIALLY the one in the 11th
50/50, yeah I'm a guy without a son, but I feel you would want or believe in your son to face and handle the adversity he's been practicing all his life to beat. The shame and pain of knowing he quit too early, that he didn't leave it all out there....and still...Devin kept getting back up and made it to the final bell.
I could've ended it there but there are reports Devin has a broken jaw alignment (sourced by Ryan...of all people lol, and he said "that's the name of the game", which is true). We hope he recovers well. Unsportsmanlike of Ryan to come in overweight, and I don't know what to say about his character, his actions and speaking on God. Were the same age, living completely different lives 🤷🏾♂️

I don’t think Ryan is more skilled than Devin but unfortunately He didn’t have a solution for Ryan’s power. What I believe we will see in the future is a more defensive and a smarter Devin Haney. Also the Ryan Garcia that Devin fought was bigger and stronger than the Ryan that Tank fought.

I like Eddie Hearn but he is a magnificent politician. If you retell stories as much as Eddie Hearn you always tell it your way. Watching his face in the ring when Ryan was being interviewed showed the truth. Eddie Hearn was mad to see Ryan school the entire business behind Devin Haney and ridicule all of them. Ref. judges. Promoters. All had tried to make Ryan lose. And they forgot the possibility of a knock out or knock down. Devin looked like he resurrected three times. And the ref was the gospel that made it happen. Had it been the other way around everyone would have been in agreement to stop the fight on the 7th round.
Ryan made a lot of people lose a lot of money. And that is the best in all of this. Devin Haney got a beat down that just added a bunch of miles to his odometer.
