MR. Organic Chemistry Tutor, this is a fantastic video/lecture on the Intermediate Value Theorem in Calculus. This is another important theorem in Mathematics.
You all prolly dont care but does anyone know a method to get back into an Instagram account..? I somehow lost the account password. I appreciate any help you can give me.
@Jedidiah Cyrus i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Thank u I have been searching for IVT for my xams. After 3 days I hav maths xam 😅😅😅😂😂 . Thank u for uploading. I really don't understand when my teacher takes class. But by watching Ur video for one time I am able to understand the concepts. Thank u once again❤❤❤
Why do we need to calculate the interval (i.e. [0,3] ) if we were given the f(c) value? must it be between f(0) and f(3)? and thanks for the explaining you are AWESOME
To show you (students) that the K value is really in-between f(a) and f(b) The question is telling you, however he(organic chemistry tutor) is showing you that IVT is applicable.
I have a question. In the first example f(x)=x^3+4x-2 where we have [0,2] where a=0 , b=0. So we get f(0)= -2 and f(2) = 14 . Right. So we try to find "c" where f(a)
I think that's because he said the problem to solve was proving that there is a c such that f(c)= 0. He proved it with this theorem but didn't solve the exact value (which wouldn't be necessary for the problem he stated)
@@kyleholland7154 probably a little late but for anyone who stumbles upon this present day, just solve for x. FACTOR the polynomial after you set it to zero. But most of the time your professor or teacher will just ask you to SHOW that there is a root or zero within the interval, which is exactly what he did at 1:57
If you were to show that a root exists betwwn say [-5,5] of x² for argument sake, if you plug in the numbers your going to get 25 for each one, but the IVT still holds there is a number c where f(c) is 0. I can see that if you have f(a) negative and f(b) positive then it's trivial but if both are positive or negative, it would seem to me that you would need to dig a bit further right, like finding critical points. Is that right?

I never comment to anyone’s videos, but seriously you’re the absolute best! God bless you
You my friend are what we call a lifesaver.

TOCT... you are the BEST!!! All of your videos are pretty well explained and easily understandable!!! :D :D :D Thanks a lot! Keep this up man!

@Jedidiah Cyrus it did the trick and I actually got access to my account again. I am so happy!
Thanks so much you saved my ass!
@Lochlan Corey happy to help :)
Thank you soo much, I appreciate this useful and understandable videos ❤

bro IS the goat , BRO IS HIMMMMM
Bro no diffs Gojo
Usually, I don't comment to videos mostly, But It's more valuable to comment to this video because of this was helpful me a lot. Thanks
Since it was asked in these comments like a year ago the way to solving the first problem is by using Cardano’s Method
On the first example, sign change with indicate that there is a root because it crosses the x axis.. awsome video! Thank you
The Organic Chemist strikes again! Mucho gracias.
Thank you so much 💙💙💙💙 best Teacher 💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎
Why do we need to calculate the interval (i.e. [0,3] ) if we were given the f(c) value? must it be between f(0) and f(3)? and thanks for the explaining you are AWESOME
We have to make sure that the equal with work right with the interval. f(0) or f(3), one has to be negative and the other has to be positive.
To show you (students) that the K value is really in-between f(a) and f(b)

thank you , thank you , thank you
Thank you! This is very helpful, I have a calc exam in a few hours 😅
thank you so much your videos made me understand better
What if we’re not given an interval only the equation and asked to find if a root exists
solve the equation for f(x)= 0 that's the answer
YOU ARE THE BEST. BIG THANKS
Hey, so on the third example, how did you get (x-2)(2x+1)?
He factored the equation by grouping
He did factorisation of the quadratic equation
Love this guy ❤
what if the teacher does not give you an interval? how do you find the interval yourself?
Graph and pick an interval I assume
Genuine question, what is the point of this theorem? It seems so trivial.
Allah razı olsun
ilk defa türk gördüm bu adamın videosunun altında :D
How do you solve X^3+4x-2=0 like in the first example?
So.....we know what NOT the answer is for the first example. The NOT answer is 1....sooooooo. What IS the answer?!
This^ Doing an equation using cube roots and I still don't know how to finish this.. Ugh!

His first example was a mess, it is not an integer but a fraction so he moved to the second example
#1 I cnt understand it I'm sorry but u move to another example like it's some disease
Thank you!!! TOCT
Wait shouldn't it be -1
Thank you
You are the GOAT
رائع جداً❤❤
Bro my calculus teacher started giving us out problems of IVT without teaching what it is / how to do it
aweehhh🔥
where did 11 come from?
why are you using 40????
why is f(c) = 11
