I relate so much, I am in school to become a vet Tech at the moment and I failed my a&p class last semester and I just wonder if you have any tips for distractions and motivation that got you through school! Also def make a video on your anxiety, I have extremely bad anxiety and don’t really know how to channel it

Congrats on the job! I'm a middle school special education English Language Arts teacher (yep, this is the grade and teaching position that I chose). Most of my students have ADHD, or some kind of learning disability. Hopefully, you had an IEP in school. I have three, year-long goals for my students...1) Get them reading "good fit" books, so they can enjoy reading. 2) Write a "beefy" paragraph using graphic organizers, sentence starters, and 1:1 conferencing with me (on their district issued Chromebooks). 3) Teach students how to advocate for themselves using their accommodations/modifications with their other teachers. I'm so sorry if you didn't have the support at school that you needed:-(
I am 56 years old I have trouble learning disabilities myself had since I can't read all that good or write sentences that good I will mess it up and math is hard and had speech problems
I agree, anxiety video would be helpful. I have social anxiety, my co-workers do not believe it because I'm in my element at work. It's more outside of work trying to socialize with new people or just people in general. I would pull into a grocery store parking lot and note that it is busy. I would say-nope, not dealing with it today....
My sister is so picky just like Alexandra!! Usually always chicken and fries. She will eat some pork but wont eat beef. When we were little she loved beef jerky not know it was from a cow and once she got older I told her that is was beef and since then she hasn't touched it. When we go to a restaurant we can go somewhere super nice and she almost always orders chicken strips.
I have quite a few of those things in common with you! Similar situation with the anxiety, it started in my early 20s when my best friends mum passed away and worsened when I started studying vet nursing, as I was finding it really difficult to study. Panic attacks and daily anxiety, felt like my heart was pumping out of my throat! I talked to soo many people about it and my sister kept telling me "I bet the main reason for your anxiety is that you are struggling with studies, I think you could have ADD". All throughout school I struggled so hard and just like you, I managed to JUST graduate. After trying everything else, wanting to avoid medication, I eventually went to a physiatrist and got medicated for my ADD. Since then I graduated from vet nursing(with flying colours 😁) gained an amazing full time job at a vet hospital, and my anxiety only pops around once every few months!! Just my little story, hopefully it might help someone else! 😊❤️

Damn, its really weird when someone has all of my (flaws) so to speak. My anxiety hit me hard in my early 20s and I was never an anxious person, so I legitimately thought I had something very seriously wrong internally. I also pick at my fingers, eyebrows, and eyelashes exactly like you said. Im in my late 30s now and I have things much more under control, but hearing you say these things was bizarre for me.

I pick at my fingers too! It’s a nervous habit as well. I have really bad anxiety and I also think it’s a habit too.. I’m definitely trying to stop! I’ve been doing it since I was a kid. 🤷🏼♀️

hey victoria, I had anxiety and panic attacks out of nowhere too, in case you‘re on hormones, maybe you should consider coming off hormones as it helped me like at least reduce it a little. it‘s not gone yet but everyone has his little problem right?😂

At school alot of the kids liked pokemon too so i at keast had that in common with them (ive got a physical disability)
I did the Comunity integration through cooperative education. It's a program for individuals with intellectual differences. I found it helped me to communicate and follow any my dreams and helped me to come out as transgender male
I have suffered from anxiety and depression for years now. I totally understand what you have gone through. I have been to the hospital multiple times unfortunately bc of panic attacks. I am doing so much better now that I have my ESA Lilo. She is a Yorkie! Therapy also helped a lot! Glad you are able to handle the anxiety better 💕💕💕💕💕💕
