I’m former 1 Para SFSG I can tell you nobody is better than the other training for SF units is such that 100% of the men in them are animals who have homed skills 7 days a week but I believe even in the American military museum us brits are ranked number 1 the only thing US SF excel in compared to other countries is funding! Everyone else operates on the same level with less funding. Every SF unit wears civilian clothing that’s the point not just delta and st6. Served in the Canadian Army for 20+ Years. was never a part of a SF unit like CSOR, but i have trained with them a few times over the years. Pro Patria. CSOR is one of the best and most professional units in the world.

You’re probably going to make a lot of mistakes in the beginning, own up to your mistakes, learn from them and try not to repeat them 3. Continue to learn and ask for more challenges, you should never feel comfortable with the amount of knowledge you have. You’ll eventually be expected to lead men. 4. Build relationships with mentors and leaders who are respected by all ranks. If they support you and push your name for a course or selection, people will want to have you. 5. Be relentless and never give up. Showing up is half the battle.
Solid advice from NinjaKid. I know this comment is 2 years old now, but in the off chance you see this & this helps… A good way to get noticed by your CoC is offer/volunteer to do the recce with them for any upcoming exercises. It’ll give all of you some time during the drive there and back to chat, get to know each other, and make an impression. When certain courses or opportunities pop up, and your CoC is wondering who to put on it - they’ll remember you (good impression or bad)

For me, its tradition, and I want to join because I have been interested in the military since I was 13 that wanted me to join. I say tradition because I have family members with military backgrounds. Some served in the Army, some in the Navy, and a few others in the Marine Corps and Air Force.
These guys are machines. I tried out for the JTF when I was in Valcartier. I just finished my jump course and was pretty good shape but holy crap. The fist week was just P.T. all day. Then it was time for the swiming pool. I swim like a fish so I thought it would be a a breeze especialy when they said to swim 10 laps the width of the pool....YES deliverance....not!!!! You had to start doing 10 push ups on one side then do 10 sit ups on the other side, swim back, do 9 push ups swim other side 9 sit ups....you get the idea....a few found them selfs in the bottom. Well never made it through. Respect to them boys....Je me souviens!!!!! R22R

We know that they have the most Terrorist Confirmed Kills and the Longest Sniper Confirmed Kill.. but not much else. They're very classified and we only know about 5-10 operations that they've done out of the hundreds they actually have. But, with the records they broke, and with how classified they are, my senses say that they're probably as good if not better than the Navy Seals.

The expections are as follows: 0:45 - Probably CSOR 0:50 - CSOR or JTF2 (probably CSOR) 1:03 - CSOR or JTF2 (probably JTF2) 1:19 - CSOR or JTF2 (probably JTF2) The probability is based upon their mission scope and the nature of their training. Although there’s a ton of overlap and I could be wrong. Additionally, I wouldn’t be surprised if none of these are of JTF2. CJIRU might also be represented here because they also have overlapping training but they’d more than likely be represented in media doing some sort of in the field analysis/testing. The video dispersed these clips throughout the video so I won’t add all the time codes where they pop in and out.

You're lucky to get a little glimpse into the JTF2. They don't share anything and keep everything hush. Like I said very lucky to see a very small fraction. You also will never see a Canadian sniping video of their snipers. There's just some stuff they just don't share or brag about and that's the JTF2 and Canada's sniper's. Canada's military elite's are ghosts of legend. The only thing you hear are records broken. I'm proud of them all.
