quietly cutting fabric at night on my outdoor workbench

Ever since I moved my workbench to my patio I get so many questions about how I manage to use an outdoor sewing work surface. So today I thought I'd share a little peek at how I use my outdoor cutting bench!
This is my favourite way to spend an evening. After tucking the kids in to bed I make a cup of tea, light some citronella candles and cut out my next project quietly in the cool evening air.
I live in Perth Australia where the winters are mild, so i can use this table year round. If it's windy I don't cut fabric, but usually the evening is quite calm after the Fremantle Doctor has passed through.
My workbench sits under our patio roof and we use it for everything - sewing, woodworking, kids crafts and of course eating with friends. Putting my workbench outside has been so unexpectedly enjoyable and I love it so much!
