My unit calls it that as well, but for new cadets in many other units across the world it would be less confusing to use the actual name of the manual.
I came here because I was curious about what the US uniforms look like. I was in Army cadets in Canada. We train 2 nights a week. And on weekends and during summer. We get 3 different uniforms. Dress, combat uniform, and PT. Everyone starts with the combat uniform and you get dress after 1 month in. I left as a Sergeant after 4 years. The only time we get ribbons is if we have medals. I only had the 4 year service medal and a medal of excellence. Ours go on the right side because there are consider civilian medals like our fire department or an EMT. We also got the 3 other military branches as well. I was interested in seeing what other countries did for similar programs. I'm not longer in btw.
You know i have pretty much the same stuff as you but the only thing is that you have alot more medals than me i only have 3 lol but anyways good job and keep going
This is my freshman year of jrotc and height has nothing to do with it we all are a family we support and encourage each other to pertain in a military manner much luv.
I may be late but how would you join the NJROTC? My school starts in 5 days and was wondering if I need to talk to someone before or after school starts.
You can join anytime if i was you if you know someone in there you would ask them to talk to the instuctor about it and they can have 10 of 2 people for the recruting reward
deconstruct the medal like demonstrated in the video to remove the pin then replace the internals with old ribbon parts. like shown being remove in video. ua-cam.com/video/_TMuKEvwpQ4/v-deo.html
@@tylerphillips5456 ah ok. Also, what’s the gold thing that is around your leadership training ribbon? I have that ribbon but it doesn’t have gold around it.
dude I'm seaman recruit I got least three ribbons and you can't say that I can get any ribbons you can get for your physical you can get it for your flag so don't be lying to us.
In my school we called the Cadet Field Manual the orange Bible so we want that to catch on
My unit calls it that as well, but for new cadets in many other units across the world it would be less confusing to use the actual name of the manual.

the cardboard advice is very helpful thx for that.
I’m about to be a freshman and I’m signing up for JROTC, and I am scared because of my height I’m like 4’10. But this was pretty helpful thank you!

@@yackski7727 lmfao idk what unit you’re in but we fs do not support and encourage eachother unless we are at a competition 😭
At least y'all can wear your pins. I got 6 and a Drill indicator. I just stopped wearing em. It was too much of a hassle.
Lord Hizaki why stop with the still cord it’s such a flex
What's that weird circular-shaped marksmanship device? I know about the CMP devices/pins that look like a rectangle but what's the weird star one for?
The navy jrotc national championship match.
@@tylerphillips5456 actual nationals or service

Talk to your school counselor and your schools jrotc instructors. I'm pretty sure u still can join. They are always needing cadets.
You can join anytime if i was you if you know someone in there you would ask them to talk to the instuctor about it and they can have 10 of 2 people for the recruting reward
Yes I joined like 2 weeks after school started
Lol he got more ribbons than a war hero

I thought you don‘t put the torch on the military aptitude ribbon
If you earn it before the change in the manual I keep wearing it.
@@tylerphillips5456 do you know why they don’t allow it anymore? Did they have a reason or was it just random?
@@spencerconway5468 Idk, tbh.

Are you sure I'm good using the width of a pencil for the name tag
For a quick fix yes. But it's always best to use a ruler to set everything up properly.
