Rd. H. Ibrahim was a martial arts genius of his time. He successfully reconstructed various martial arts styles he had learned into a new style with the philosophy of "not harming the opponent." This is clearly something difficult to achieve in the realm of self-defense.
Through the understanding and enlightenment he gained during contemplation, he eventually discovered a formula where changes in force and movement could be used to control the course of a fight, ultimately defeating the opponent without injury. This formula now uses the names of famous martial arts experts of that era who are considered to have influenced the martial arts style engineered by Rd. H. Ibrahim.
The names of the formulas are:
    - "Madi," taken from the name Bang Madi, a warrior from the Betawi (Jakarta) region. The generic name for this formula is "dam," meaning to block the opponent's force or attack by cutting off the direction of force or halting movements that trigger power in the opponent. At the highest level, this formula is a technique where the opponent's force seems unable to be exerted because it is blocked, or because the opponent loses the force's pivot or fulcrum.
    - "Sabandar," taken from the name Mamak Sabandar, also known as Uncle (Paman) Kosim, a warrior from Pagaruyung, West Sumatra, who spent his last days in Wanayasa, Purwakarta. The generic name for this formula is "liwatan," which can also mean blending, meaning to pass the opponent's force or attack after blocking it. At the highest level, this formula is a technique where the opponent feels all their force sinking into empty space, or feels as if it is being sucked away.
    - "Kari," taken from the name Bang Kari, a warrior from Tanggerang known for the power of his strikes. The generic name for this formula is "punch," commonly referred to as "peupehan" in Sundanese. This formula represents the execution form of the previous two formulas after blocking and diverting the opponent's force or attack. The execution can be in a hard form to injure or in a soft form, making the opponent realize the difference in ability.
    Just my 2 cents.
