I wish I had known about this venue/bookstore when I was in San Francisco last year. I was staying just on the other side of Mount Davidson. Next time!
Wow. I've seen Bruce and Vince since way back on Columbus St. and at Jimmy's, Bach Dancing, etc. Didn't know they hit B&B. Vince taught me how to cut the back of my hair.
Such a superb performance! I just discovered this a couple of days ago, and left it playing on my Apple TV. It's very enjoyable to listen to. It's a shame that there was no microphone out in the audience to capture room sound as the speaking volume level is extremely low. Furthermore, the volume peaks and lows of this video are extreme. I found myself having to turn down the TV because the audio was much too loud in some sections, then turn up the volume because the audio was much too soft in some sections. As a suggestion to the venue, please consider putting a stereo microphone out in the audience to capture the ambient room sound as heard by the audience. If you have a good stereo microphone, that alone could do a very serviceable and pleasing job of capturing a performance such as this without micing anything else. If you added the existing mic setup to a stereo mic and mixed the sound, you could have added presence of the individual instruments. The easiest and quickest mic setup for someone who doesn't want to mess with audio mixing would be a good stereo mic out in the audience. That way you can capture spoken words and the natural mixing of the band as they play. I have used the 3Dio Binaural Stereo mic for situations like these, and have had very pleasing results. Thanks for posting these videos, I have subscribed to the channel and hope to see more performances like this. Cheers!
Wow, what great guitar playing. A great story teller. I love what he does.
The poetry reading was great fun, but the second tune, a bit slower, softer, was the sound of jazz I’ve come to love SO much. Thanks
Only today i listened to Master Bruce Forman! Wow, what a stunning playing, feel and groove.
Truly one of the great jazz guitarists. Thanks!

Very nice
Very refreshing. I hope the younger guitarists may learn something from these professionals.
