I saw them live in PA in late 99/early 2000. This has been my favorite song since the first time I heard it and will forever be until the end of time. His performace of Push at my show was absolutely amazing. In this one he is shaking his left arm like he want to let go and sing louder and harder. Well, at my show, he did. He was throwing the arm and banging his chest and his voice was more fierce, it was amazing. It was the encore so it was longer and just WOW. I have been looking for a performance like that for a long time, but I cannot find it. It would be a smashing treat for any Matchbox fan.
Rob started off a bit rough in this song, timing wise. Nerves maybe.....but as it progressed, he got so much better. Timing was spot on, and nailed this song in the end.
I have seen rob live too many times to count and this is the first clip I've ever seen him visibly nervous. Who wouldnt be but he still held it down better than 99 percent of singers today.
He's probably a bit nervous. They were still promoting their new debut album so I'm sure he was still soaking in being newly famous. Plus your singing in front of all the other popular singers at the time. I'd be a bit nervous too.
I can't believe nobody commented about Kyle throwing that lovely Paul Reid Smith guitar across the stage, busting it up at the feet of Kenny G. Of course, that last part didn't make the TV cut.
Im not comparing the 2 at all singing wise But looks wise, rob looks like he could legit be Layne Staleys younger brother lol. If you don't know who I'm talking about it's the original lead singer from alice in chains. He just has that look
I just feel never been good anuff for but love you anyway because I believe I could make you love I you would let buy keep pushing thing around because I really want to be with and just want let me love making things up I want get close enough to love that I feel about song that me
He rocked it live…such a difficult song vocally
