      I watch Sail Cloudy Bay (yes, that is obvious) and I watch Free Range Sailing & Sailing Yacht Ruby Rose. Maybe all three would benefit from some cross promotion. All three couples are very cool and they all put together some amazing videos.

    North side of the South Fork - not to be confused with the south side of the North Fork. You could have cycled between the two taking the ferry form Sag Harbor, through Shelter Island and taking another ferry to Greenport. Lovely video of my neck of the woods (Amagansett).

    Well done Glen & wife, every video is just unique. Also it's lovely to see your sail trimming as you love to maximise on the winds available.

      Yes, we really enjoyed those areas around Long Island. Soooo much to see and do. We really only hit the highlights on this trip. Think we will have to come back again.

      Thanks Fred. Glad you like it. Oana basically shot and edited the entire thing herself, so she is quite chuffed by your comment :)

      Thanks. I think I'm getting better at flying the thing. Though I swear it takes 1 year off my life each time I do! Docking Cloudy Bay does nothing to my nerves compared to a drone flight ..... not sure why!

    Glen, you had better marry that first mate of yours, you'll never find another one like her. You two are having to much fun! Great narrations and camera shots. Really enjoying all of your trip, thank you.

    I agree with Glubok below...I watch Sail Cloudy Bay (yes, that is obvious) and I watch Free Range Sailing & Sailing Yacht Ruby Rose. Maybe all three would benefit from some cross promotion. All three couples are very cool and they all put together some amazing videos. One more thing...another comment below was about your camera quality...I think the quality is very good (that comment left me a little confused - can't please everyone I guess).

    • @SailCloudyBay

      We have been experimenting with cameras. We like the GoPro and had a GP5 .... but now have a GP6 too, but we've had alot of issues with it. We also recently invested in a better case that holds a better microphone .... soon to be tested. Glad you like the shots. The GoPro may not be the best camera but its very versatile being rugged and waterproof. And in the end, we realise we are not video professionals, nor try to be :)

    Yes, its a very informative channel with some good old-fashioned English sarcasm thrown in for good measure! LOL

      We certainly did enjoy our time in Long Island Sound, Nantucket Marthas etc. We are now in the Chesapeake and will be heading out to Bermuda next week (weather permitting). That should be an exciting sailing video ...maybe too exciting! Then onwards to Antigua to carry on our travels through the islands from where we left off in May this year. We will then work our way West (Dom Rep, Cuba, Jamacia, Belize) and end up in Columbia where we will wait a few months, ready to go through the Panama into the Pacific in Dec'19. Thats the plan today. Ask us again tomorrow :)

    Really enjoy your videos of my part of the world. I hope you get a better camera ( like some of the more popular sailing vlogs) to better capture the scenery. Thanks much.

    That’s LI sound for you. Either too much, too little, just right, but fog.
    The reason we love sailing is because we don’t actually care.

    It's a little known fact that the film Moana is based around the exploits of the young Oana. She's not really Romanian, but is actually the Chieftain of Motunui. After the release of the film in 2016, all the press attention got a bit too much, so Glen (aka Heihei) and Moana decided to take a break from the Pacific and go undercover in the Atlantic for a bit.

    • @SailCloudyBay
      @SailCloudyBay  6 років тому +2

      Thanks for that! :) Another little known fact, Oana will return, next year, to the Pacific where she might save yet another island! Look out of Moana II - to hit the screen for limited audience only, on THIS channel
