- Yet another political party has been added to the country's political landscape ahead of the 2024 elections. Arise South Africa was launched in Pretoria today by its leader Mpho Dagada. The new political party says it seeks to revolutionise politics and bring about a much-needed change in the country. Dagada says the party was formed in response to inadequate leadership, a growing electricity crisis, crime, unemployment and other challenges plaguing the country. He says the party will contest the 2024 elections. We are joined by Arise South Africa Leader, Mpho Dagada.

Wow, Mpho , I know that family in Matshavhwe in Venda...that brilliant family...wow that family was on a league of its own....way ahead .. revolutionary entrepreneurs. I remember people would hire transport to go shop on credit and in bulk at Ha - Mafhodo. People would come back with bakkies full. Entrepreneurship runs in that family. I will support Arise just because I know that Mpho had an extraordinary upbringing where the love for people comes first. Like ,his whole family is just a magical story. They would do a lot to make people happy...I think they even offered free transport for people shopping from them in bulk during month end. I remember ha Mafhodo...Mr Dagada snr, a short, very light in complexion dude, full of all manner of jokes, easy to talk to and people loved it heartily 😅. An apple has not fallen too far from the tree...

Their ideas sound great and very inspiring to repair the nation. He's very young and I'm not sure about his political background, but I'm sure getting some votes will give him and the rest of the party experience on the big stage and a bigger voice for the future.

That's something to be aware of, but the man has a point. He has worked with the president before so he might have an idea of what they are doing right and wrong. It's just a bit weird why he did not implement this ideas there, unless he was not given the opportunity.

This going from the sublime to the ridiculous. Having a gazillion small parties popping up like mushrooms, will buy us nothing.
Every aspiring politician is now wanting to prove his worth; it's really like an ego trip. It would be far better to align their thoughts with existing parties, to determine whether there is common ground or not.
By having hundreds of small parties will just dilute the effort of any coalition government. Mpho Dagada is talking like a businessman, and maybe that is what he should focus on.
A smart businessman is not necessarily an effective politician.

Yes I agree with you that this party is not going to make it. However, I challenge you on the issue of the youth. It does not mean that if there is no country run by the youth, therefore the youth are incapable of running a country.
It means that the old people have monopolozed the reigns of power, through their political parties and thus the govts are old age run.
I believe that political party politics is old and is a problem itself, and thus we will never solve problems caused by political parties by appealing to creating new political parties.
Unless the political party created its intention is win elections, change the constitution and get rid of political parties, including itself, in both elections and parliament.

This brother and his team need to join EFF. Trust me they will have more chance to implement these ideas. If they continue with this party it will take them a lot longer than they may anticipate. And just by the look of the team, It doesn't seem like they will sustain challenges that are ahead. For example South African youth are not only creative but they are also undisciplined. Therefore we need some level of Foundational Dictatorship, and to re-establish African cultural values before we can solely tackle the higher level economic zone. Land and common customs are essential. Otherwise we will create first-world solutions to a third-world continent.
My advise is they focus on education and advocate for these solutions to be infused in the public school curriculum, and then try to infiltrate a political party like EFF.
