There are subtle differences in the frequencies of the sounds. Like pink and white noise are similar because they are on the high end of the sound spectrum, while red and brown are on the lower end. Many even like to hear these different frequencies layered over each other, which will be in future videos we release. It comes down to preference in the subtleties.
Brown noise? This is the sound of distant never-ending traffic or the ventilation systems in large offices. It grates on your nerves and builds a sense of chronic anxiety and stress. It is constant pressure. It is the drone of society and man-made noise of the machine. Why would anyone want to fall asleep to this?!
@tae if it works for you, all the power to you. I found an 8hr medium rain, without thunder, that you would hear at a cabin in the woods. Steady sound, not too light, as the trickling of light rain on city streets synthesis gives me the urge to think I need to use the bathroom. Whatever works. I think different people find different sounds relaxing. What I do like from the creators is there isn't a loop, or at least more than a good 1.5 hr. If there's a loop, I hear it, and then I am subconsciously waiting for the loop. A life time of insomnia can do strange things during the night to the human brain. Oh... I was imagining the thunder of waves or a waterfall in the distance. I can almost feel the mist on my skin or the smell of saltwater in the air, so blissfully close I feel to nature, yet safe.
what kind of collab would an account that just posts hours of constant noise participate in? Not hating, just curious because it seems like collabs require a certain amount of content that brown noise accounts don't offer lol. It's sort of made to be background noise.

All these brown/orange/purple noises sound the same to me. I like them and thank you for them, but I don’t hear any differences.

LOTS of crackling in this video. Playing on my iPhone as I’m sleeping and the crackling severely interferes with the brown noise 😢
