I’ve been all the dogs toys this month. I brought home a new boxer puppy. I’ve been waiting 8 months since my last dog passed of cancer. It was the first time in 19 years I didn’t have a dog. I did not like it whatsoever. So happy my new pup is home!

The FOMO I've been battling is for the Natasha Denona Golden palette. I already have the original large Gold palette, which I love, but I'm one of the rare folks who doesn't use the blue/green shades at all. So, the midi size of the new Golden and the all-neutral tones are much more "me", and I'm kinda grumpy that the Golden took so long to be created and released because I'd rather have purchased that. I'm not fussed whether you post the total dollar amount of your PR or not. If it makes you feel a bit icky or conflicted about how people may react to the number, don't provide the total amount. You don't need that kind of grief. Those of us who've been around here a while know how genuine your gratitude is to have received anything, and when you get so much (like this month!), we're celebrating for you and cheering you on. ❤️ June was a tough one for me, too. Work has been exhausting and awful for me, without any kind of break, since February 2022. I turned 40 about a week ago, and not much has been making me happy for the last decade or so. So, the thing I'm looking forward to is also a trip. I haven't had a vacation in 6 years (not a typo), so I'm treating myself as a belated 40th birthday present to a trip to Scotland this fall. I used to go to school in England, and I'll be starting and ending the trip there, but most of the trip will be in Scotland. Other people like sun and heat and sand for their holidays, whereas I am borderline allergic to the sun, ghostly pale, and not built for heat, so my ideal destinations are atmospheric, moody, cool places. All of the single malt whisky I'll be drinking will warm me up if I feel a chill. 🏴
I admittedly don't use the blues/greens in the OG Gold palette either, so you and I are the same in that! And I agree that the midi size is so lovely. It's tempting, but I think I can pass. I am so sorry to hear you’ve been having depression difficulties. I was diagnosed with clinical depression, GAD, OCD and Panic Disorder in my very early 20’s. And, then in my mid 30’s I was also diagnosed with Adult ADHD. I’m 52 now and although we’ve got a pretty good handle on it, the depression still comes out to play every now and then. Even with medication. And, for no particular reason or anything. It usually doesn’t last too long but sometimes it can. You just never know. And, that’s what sucks. So, I just wanted you to know that I know how you are feeling and I’m hoping you are coming out on the other side! You are so sweet and deserve all of the best of everything! ❤ xo PS: we are going on our yearly beach vacation this Saturday for a week! I’m a Jersey girl so of course we’re going to the Jersey shore! Wildwood Crest. Such a laid back community and we take our doggo with us, too. He loves the beach!

I’m glad you are feeling better! Depression is a beast but you aren’t fighting it alone. As far as dollar amount of PR, it doesn’t matter to me. I’m just glad to see my favorite creators get PR and recognition from brands. If someone is really concerned with the dollar amount, it’s not hard for them to look it up 🤷🏻♀️. The biggest thing I’m looking forward to get getting back to the states and getting settled. My husband and I have been on Guam for the last 3 years and last week we packed up all our furniture and household goods. We are now living out of suitcases for a few more weeks here and then a month or 2 with our families before we are finally settled into our new house. My mom has also been watching our 2 dogs while we’ve been here since it’s so difficult to get dogs on and off the island so I’m only a few weeks away from seeing them again ❤️

I don't mind the value of PR and I think it is useful to those considering buying, but in a vid like this where the value is secondary to ur overall storytelling, maybe just put it in the description box? Bc if ppl are interested, they can see it there w a link. Or they will later watch your dedicated review vid, or others', where the price is stated. I was on a pretty good low buy until June. Summer is usually the neutral season for makeup, so I thought it'd be easy. And then the Lethal Avatar collection came out. 😅 For July, the 4th of July sales got me. I found older palettes that seem to suit my skintone: Viseart Soleil La Plage and JP The Nudes. But of course, when there r sales at 50% off, this also make u want to try stuff u were curious about... So I also got Viseart petit Chou Chou, JP Garden of Juvia's, JP The Taupes, along w some JP lip products to meet that free shipping since I was so close. Of course. 🙈 I don't think I'm gonna regret the purchases. But I do have to face the consequence that my disposable income for future travel and fall makeup releases had bites taken out of them.
I'm interested in the dollar value of PR because it feels like a peak behind the curtain of content creators but it's not necessary to include. I can guesstimate if I'm really🎉 curious! I'm looking forward to going home to the US for a month and meeting my three year old niece for the first time! And seeing my whole family 😊. I personally don't care to know the total price of received PR. I'd more like to know if products creators received in PR would've been purchased by them otherwise.. I'm not sure if anyone mentions that way or if it's too much "bite the hand that feeds".. I'm more curious about that aspect of PR. 👀 👀
