I can't believe they went through modeling the scar tissue under Jax's arms! That's more attention to detail than is expected in a fighting game.

They probably did that because dismembering is something usual in fatalities and if it wasn't modeled it could be a little bit cheesy

its actually surprising, given that they had respected that in earlier games, and gone to detail with his arms being robotic, lacking gore and skeletons and having exo-skeletons and oils in them instead. Same as when they Released Terminator, they fixed a specific skeleton for him with certain gore fixes to respect that.
But in mk11 they were like ''eh fuck it, too much work, just make his arm fleshy to save time who gives a shit''

the fact they modelled Jax's scars from the amputation is insane!!! Like, there is no way most people would have ever see that
In Mortal Kombat 2011, you can see Ermac destroy Jax's arms, and he still has most of his biceps afterwards. Sonya even cauterizes the stumps with her Energy Ring Blast special attack. I wish he still had those and the bionic arms were on top of them for more support and control.

@@MasterMetallixwell i mean in some timelines it got crushed by Goro (with the help of Sub-Zero) so i'm guessing if that's whats happening here, i'm guessing his shoulders were just too frozen to defrost so they had to amputate all the frozen bits or the bones were just pulled out or shattered from being torn so the only thing left was muscle, tissue, and skin so they probably just cut that part out and use what's left to cover the amputation scars
