I love those Salt Lamps (i've got 7) they give wonderful warm glow & create a lovely ambience. Congrats on the parking space, you've made it , no looking back now .... LOL
Very well done for the setup. It's great to see a therapist being happy with the environment s/he has to work in. My studio is 9 months old and going through same phase of what I like and what I would like to change. I truly love the genuine comments. I will also invest in an electric table _ but all I'm good time. Good luck mate and keep up the good work. Ant
Hydroelectric tables will CHANGE YOUR LIFE! I have on in my office and I can’t ever go back 😆 you are very blessed with that size room! Also, I always make the joke “majored in MT, minored in laundry” lol
A very good video. I have rented a spa space of my own after working in a Major Spa for over 1 year. I now feel that I have the experience needed to work on my own. The rent is very expensive here in Fort Lauderdale so I am splitting the suite with another therapist.
Spencer, I'm amazed by your knowledge and skill as a licensed massage therapist. I'm sure you were one heck of a good student. Are you able to reveal which school you went to and do all massage therapy schools follow same standards of technique based on evidence based practice?
Honestly this is something that each student must do for themselves. Read and research on reputable schools, and remember that at least for massage schools accreditation isn’t a sole indication of excellence in teaching. Time and who is teaching as well as student volume in class has a lot to do with the quality of education you’re getting.
Nice space! I am a little bit surprised about the curtains. They take away all that nice natural light! Personally I would prefer lighter ones, also so I wouldn't have too work in such a dark room. Maybe it just what you're used too (I massage outside a lot).
Thank you so much Spencer for sharing your tips and knowledge with massage. I just graduated this week and plan on taking my MBLEX next month. What is the sq ft of your room?
Really nice studio You are my inspiration and great source of real info about the career of massage therapist I’ll be ready during Christmas time my classes And ready for MBLEx, license, For start working in a company Could you make more videos about starting your career working in a big company? And some tips for beginners Thanks My gratitude for such a great info
Love the massage studio you've established. I think you better hide the tripod because some clients may get the notion that you are filming them without their permission ..... 😮
Looking good,Spencer! I also really like your salt lamp and the spaciousness of the room. How many Sq.ft? I like that my room has a sink, but the room itself is very small.I too, have a lift table in the future.☺
Such a comfy room! It actually brought up some questions. Maybe you’ll do a video on how to make guest comfortable? Whenever my class was goin through clinical (I’m going to get my license this year! Super excited) there were some things that came up that we had to learn to accommodate after the fact. Having hair bands for example. I don’t know what the point of this comment was. I just look forward to your next video :)
Hi Rurig 93. I keep hair bands in my studio too. They come in handy when you're doing neck work on a client with long hair. I specifically use them when my client is face down because I like to work the upper back and neck together and don't want to accidentally snag a single strand of hair at the base of the skull in my fingers.
Hey I just found your channel, Great stuff man I really like your vids. I'm wondering what are your views on self-myofascial release? I use a really hard red ball to get in some pretty deep places on my back, I also use a foam roller sometimes. I have found it to be very beneficial although I know people that think it has done them more harm than good. What do think about rolling out?
Looks great! We have the same lamps! LOL Check out eBay for hydraulic tables. I got two on eBay for my studio and paid less about $300 each (and they work GREAT). It's an option. Great space! Keep up with the great work!
Great room! I love my Salt Lamps too! I just started following you on Instagram, Hot pics! I'm massage_marvel on instagram I may get a little flirty with you, just a heads up. lol
