Today we are taking a closer look at some behind the scenes photos of Edward Scissorhands - we will be visiting the famous house that belonged to Winona Ryder and The Boggs Family and will take a short trip around the neighborhood before ending the day at the Southgate Shopping Center where Edward (Johnny Depp) had his scissors sharpened. This was a fun day and I hope you all enjoy a revisit to the world of Tim Burtons Edward Scissorhands.

It is a shame they didn't keep the neighbourhood like in the movie, it looks rather sad now, very grimy and most of the houses look run down. It even looked cleaner and better without the trees too.
I agree, but you have to remember, in 1990 when they were filming in that neighborhood, that neighborhood was only about 1 year old lol, so it was a brand new housing area. That's why there weren't a bunch of trees and vegetation, because the homes had just recently been completed and built. But I do agree with you, the neighborhood looked so nice and clean in the movie and during 1990. For the longest time, I always thought Edward Scissorhands was either filmed in Hollywood on a fake backlot, or in some neighborhood in Arizona or Nevada lol, because Florida does not look like that. Something else that I noticed, did you notice that during the movie the sky almost always seemed nice and blue with very little clouds?? This movie was filmed between March and July in Florida, and Florida always gets some rain and storms during the Summer months lol.

Iam obsessed with this movie. But my question is where did they film Kim's room? Because looking at the layout of the home, her bedroom on film should have been like a hall closet. And the bathroom on the movie should be the master bedroom. So I've always wondered how or where they filmed Kim's bedroom just by the way the layout is.
Im surprised Johnny didn't buy this house. Its a favorite film for him and he loved Edward. He is a very sentimental person. 💗

The castle scene was filmed on my grandfathers ranch. Because it contained the only hill in the county. I remember seeing the castle right before they tore it down.
