This is my humble attempt at introducing poetry of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore to the Marathi speaking connoisseurs of music. Other videos will follow - each with a new song.
My sincerest thanks to the creators of Gitabitan and other such web sites which was a great help. Also many thanks to Ms. Kavita Ketkar for allowing use of her paintings as backdrop for song lyrics.
I have tried my best for correct diction and yet, traces of Marathi accent will still be there. Same with Marathi transliteration. Please excuse me for that and also if my personal interpretation of the song’s meaning differs from the poet’s intent.
My love for the Tagore songs prompted me to start this channel and I hope it will kindle your interest to explore more.
