I have a query. At 48:47 , the correct answer should only include B and C. E should not be included in the answer, since the option insinuates that the Dorsal protein should enter the nucleus in the "synctial blastoderm stage of the embryo". I have the following problems with this: 1) Dorsal protein enters the nucleus of an unfertilized egg or oocyte. 2) Synctial blastoderm forms through clevage, which is initiated after fertilization. To recapitulate, the option is partially right, as dorsal does enter the nucleus of the follicular cells in the ventral side of normal oocyte and also in all the follicular cells of torpedo/gurken deficient mutants, however, this process/axis formation should be completed before fertilization, that is at the oocyte stage of development and not in synctial blastoderm stage of the embryo(which occurs post fertilization). P.S, I realize as per the official answer key, option E should be considered correct, however, I would still urge you to think about my suggestion. Unrelated to the above, I am a huge fan of your lectures. Not just developmental biology but others as well. I qualified CSIR net, in june(november) 2020 succession, I would ascribe that feat to you guys. Thank you.
Teacher should be like you.. Teaching should be like your's.. Thank you madam..
