Others can learn from this editing. Not a shot at others being bad, a compliment on how clean and easy to watch this video was
I like how clear this editing makes the plays look. Only major thing I'd say to do is leave the last card played on the side until a new one is play to minimize the amount of pausing people need to do for scanning less familiar cards.
This is just a big child excited about his new toy, and it's honestly just wholesome

Illegal play at 8:46 you can’t special munin after gigantic spright effect. You’re locked into Lvl 2s for the rest of the turn

At a tournament yes, here he just sequenced it badly and they can let that kind of thing fly between friends, like gage forgetting to place the field spell while summoning. He litterally had the spell in hand so he could have simply on eff of Gigantic chain it thus legally summoning it.
That's why you always should have a Yu-Gi-Oh expert with you when going into locals.
What more do you expect from a dueling book judge?
@@GRtogetaBIC yeah that’s fine but the fact is he made a clear step after already committing to a previous play. There’s no correcting that he missed his chance to make the munin summon so that’s an illegal move. He’s a judge, a well known and experienced duelist and this was a rookie mistake. We can give a hundred reasons to cover it up but it was an illegal play at that point

I literally popped into the stream while Coder was dueling Nhymminm (or something) live, so my eyes did glance over the overlay, but was too distracted by Gage's face to notice all the new and amazing changes.

My only complaint about the MD Duel overlay: It covers the mates, meaning no more RPS minigame. Other than that, clean af.

Really easy to follow, I would love if you could leave the last card shown on the screen so I can read effects without pausing. Huge props though so good for non-tcg players

On resolution honestly shouldnt be a thing. I get it, but you cant negate a counter trap with a non counter trap card, but you still cant be like “on res of that counter trap in the middle of a chain because it has to resolve, but in a resolved game state you can prioritize a quick effect over the turn player? Idk. Just saying theres an argument to be made there. I mean i guess until there are counter traps that arent directly responding to things like in a super specific situation of “activate dinomophia reversion banishing dinomorphia shell outside of the battle phase (if thats even allowed i dont know) but whatever probably why konami forsnt make counter traps that arent ‘when’ effects or specifically negation effects.
You know a card game is good when you gotta bust out the high school calculator to play it.

Alluded to a person being a “cheater” (I’m pretty sure he was speaking hypothetically) which is a big no no with Konami. Also Konami is extremely out of touch so they make stupid decisions

The people who call for timers im remote duels are cringe. Timers only make sense irl when you can just pick up cards to read them. A lot of the inconveniences from remote duel would make every duel hit time limit.
