Golly, what beautiful phrasing! The chorus appears to have learned this glorious piece verse by verse and renders their meaning with the full understanding of what the phrases are supposed to communicate.
I've sung this piece many times in my life and with several different choirs but never with the conviction and clarity of phrase that the Tualatin singers deliver.
And such beauty fulfilled draws a lot of tears from my tired old eyes. Thanks for this magnificent post.

Two factors to consider with this performance: 1) The camera microphone automatically raised the volume when ambient sound dropped, and dropped the volume when ambient sound raised, which blurred the dynamics. And 2) Many of the performers are alumni, and on this night two years ago, some of them had not performed at all in close to a decade. Combining these two factors results in compromised dynamics on the recording, but it's mostly the first factor that rendered it what it is here.

A good sound, the soloists were not up to par, at all.
