"Ah you are finally awake 😊 you hit your head pretty hard there buddy 😅 Franchising? NRG? NRG ardiis? DSG yay? Come on man our final match against LOUD at Masters Reykjavik 2022 is about to start 😅"
"you guys always ask me what's my dream team, that is literally it, that team." fuck man, a feeling like that is so hard to find. and to have that end with losing the biggest final you've played yet against your rivals... gotta be a crushing feeling for all of them man
Man 2022 optic was so good back then. During their peak, I used to watch yay clips as one of my warm ups before playing which actually helped me climb up and dominate my games. It wasn’t just yay’s peak but I also enjoyed watching FNS’s(fenis) IGLing, marved clutching on controller role along with victor playing neon/flex. Crashies kinda underrated tho but optic felt like a perfect team during that era.
I often wonder what would've happened if Optic had won Champions....imagine franchising starting without the defending world champions, if not under the optic banner then maybe at least all five of them under a new banner instead of what happened. What a wonderful video, I'm always upset that I became a fan of valorant esports during Optics win at Iceland, and now the team that once was is no more.
Hell of a video. Documenting one of the greatest teams in Valorant and specifically my favorite team in any sport/eSport. They are my favorite because out of any sport this is the first team that I rooted for since the start and actually won a championship. I still root for the Optic core even how that they are under the umbrella of NRG and when other players like Yay or Marved are on other teams. Zeph try not to glaze Optic Challenge impossible even when a video isn't about them. Maybe I'm just coping with the fact I'll never see that team hoist the Champions trophy, but in that moment at Reykjavik it was euphoric. My GOATS Optic. Thank you. Great Job Commend!

this was a beautiful video. the best one from you yet. I think you have a perfect mix of telling a story, and looking at the gameplay and the context that surrounded the team. It was very nice to see how not only the team itself developed, but the game with them, just by looking at things like huds, maps, and production which are so different today. Optic's story is in a way incredible. Every player's name lives in the community in a beautiful at sometimes hilarious way. When you listen to pacific's 2024 anthem, when every cracked duelist is compared to the king of hell, or the discussion goes to the best duelists, clutchers or flexes. It is all there. Good job.
INCREDIBLE video, and fantastic production! it's incredible how you can string together all these disparate clips - the matches themselves, the team comms, shots of the individual players, even the casters' voices to create such a cinematic experience. the music was beautiful too, it really added to the masterful tension and release, the lovely writing. i remember watching a lot of these games; this video made me feel like i was watching it unfold all over again.

The thing bout Optic was every1 meshed so well, like they could actually trust each other all of me. N they would all mostly be in the same page. Really hard to find such a team
The fact that a single round and a failed classic right-click ended their year will always haunt me. If that crashies right click connected on to Sacy they win champs and there is no doubt in my mind. Even breeze was just unlucky asf.
Im pretty new to the valorant scene, but this video made me realize that Aspas is Thanos. Def one of the best ever. This dude been carrying for YEARS!!!!
I was a huge fan of this team since the envy days, and that grand finals at champs was genuinely the most doable win in the world. Still think they were the most consistent team of 2022, placing top 3 in every international tourney, but so sad to see what’s happened now :(
I feel you give yay and marved a lot of credit in this but I'ma be real, I watched most of these maps and I was much more impressed by viktor in this series. Entry is one of the hardest and most dangerous roles to play well, and he did it super well. Sprinting your ass onto the site first, clearing corners and taking duels against monsters like Aspas, Mako, and TenZ is definitely one of the hardest roles to play in professional valorant. Viktor was first one in and still managed to be the last one standing in several of your clips, entrying and clutching with equal ease. His large agent pool allowed his team to run him in both raze and neon, and he was world class in both. Yes, it's cool watching Marved run in third and expertly trade two kills and win the final duel with a few precise shots, but we all should acknowledge that its only with a good execute and expert entry that this is even possible.
both teams loud and optic are just shadows of what they were back in Reykjavik i shed a tear thinking about both titans and the prime of valorant competitive
