Blown Away by New Hampshire’s White Mountains

- When the state of New Hampshire is in the news and it’s got something to do with US presidents and a lot of hot air -- you may THINK you know what it’s about. Fortunately, this story has nothing to do with presidential politics and everything to do with a spectacular mountain range that almost literally blows us off the map! We’re in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, a rugged range that covers nearly a fourth of the state and is part of the Appalachian Trail. This breathtaking range holds the record as one of the windiest places on earth; with wind speeds reaching an astounding 231 mph! One hundred mile per hour winds are more commonplace and make tackling the nine peaks, called the Presidential Traverse, a hair-raising experience. If that’s not exciting enough; we’re bringing Colton’s dog, Junior, along for the ride. Brace yourselves! When the wind blows so hard that the trees start elevating out of the ground, you know you’re in for a heart-pounding adventure.

Are you making new videos? Or were these from past episodes? Hoping they are new cause we loved this show.
We’re releasing some of our old episodes that weren’t ever released here on UA-cam and trying to make some new videos as well 😊👍🏽
@@RockTheParkOfficialThat’s great news! Looking forward to it!
Love the adventures and positive spirit! Junior tried like a champ 🐶
😊🙌🏽
I've hiked half of the 48 4,000 footers in NH (I live here). I climbed both Mt Monroe and Mt Washington in the same day going up by the Cog Railway. Took me 12 hours from start to finish. I hike slowly though. The signs warning about the deadly weather are no joke.
Madison was my first of the 48 and easily my favorite so far
Love the show! How do they afford to do all these trips?
So glad you enjoy!! We were fortunate to be able to do so for this show. So the network paid us to do it 😊👍🏽
@@RockTheParkOfficial let me know how I can get your network to pay ME to hike around the national parks! lol
We are looking at doing these in June 2025. What time of year did you these hikes?
I think this was in the late summer 👍🏽
These guys are really cool and friendly, but lets be real those don't count as summits, a true summit is starting from the valley and reaching the peak. However its clear you had fun and thats all that matters.
We did what we could on this one. Wish we could have done our original plan 👍🏽
Yeah, this is nonsense as far as summit hiking challenges go. I hiked all 48 of the recognized 4,000 footers last summer, all in 12 weeks of 26 day hikes. This summer, I’m doing them all in one backpacking trip, all connected by foot. It’s Direttissima time.
