    hi! thanks for providing quick and easy to understand video on cfd simulation. but i want to ask a question, i've set my iteration to 100 step. but then it stopped at 35 with 0 velocity magnitude? do you know why that is? thanks! ☺

    So i running a simulation in a liquid fluid at a depth how to I set my boundary conditions to make account for the pressure of the fluid on the body I am analyzing.

    Is there a method in this software to see the down-force or lift in a way that you can compare the front wheels against the back wheels? Example you add a wing on a car... does it generate too much or just enough rear downforce compared to the front.

      Liberty Francis what i did in my video i was plotted surface pressure in all surface of the car, and in this case we can see according to the color which area with (high /low)pressure will generate (more/ less ) force lift/drag obviously at the particular location on the surface. In addition keep note on the pressure directions when plotting the surface pressure (X,Y,Z) direction.

    The car bottom doesn't really seem to be grounded at bottom. Does it impact the analysis result? I'm trying to calculate lift and drag on my structure and thus concerned if not being grounded at bottom might impact the analysis sanity. The CFD software won't let me intersect my structure with the walls of external boundary. Please suggest me if there is a way to do it withing CFD.

      Of course it will affect the results. I suggest you create a 3dmodel for the road to simulate it

    I have a car which was done in Inventor professional 2018 (ipt format) and before inventor, its blueprints was done in AutoCAD 2018 (dwg format), what's the better format to open it in CFD 2018?
    I open it as an ipt format, but a few features is shown to me on the surface

      when you install both inventor and CFD, then CFD icon will show-up in the inventor menu bar, just click it to direct import inventor model to CFD.

      you can't, i got it by projecting the outer edges of the car (view from front), thanks

    Hey guys I have problem, after clicking refine (meshing) CFD doesn't answer and start using 10GB RAM.

    I’ve been working on a car in fusion360 as well and transferred it to CFD. But after creating exterior box, the whole car and box together gets saved as a same part (hence can’t apply different materials or selected individually). Any solutions?

      better create the outer fluid domain in CFD instead in fusion

      @@DidiWidyaUtama Thanks a lot for your time. Yes, only the vehicle was created in fusion. The fluid exterior volume was created in CFD itself. It’s only reading the side mirrors as a different part and I can only apply solid material to that. I’m pretty lost now.

    How do you get the coefficient of drag in this program? Every time I try to find it, CFD crashes

      the software only give result on Force in X,Y or Z direction, to get the coefficient you need to calculate using formula

      Hi, parameter yg mempengaruhi gaya hambat adalah : fluid density, speed ( ini significant karena kuadrat), koefisien drag dan luas penampang. Jadi ukuran geometri otomatis berkorelasi dgn luas penampang . Demikian , terimakasih
