Brother I have mild cp and severe spinal stenosis. Had back surgery that didn't help. I can't walk but a few yards before I have to sit down. I've been looking for a disabled survivor channel. I really appreciate this video. Just found your channel. I'm hoping to find a disabled Bushcraft channel. Do you have any suggestions? Or anyone in comment have suggestions? Definitely watching and subbing to your channel. I use to hunt and fish all the time. I'm sure you know the mental stain it is to have worked all your life and love the nature and not be able to do those things much anymore. lm trying my best to get through the mental part. I jus t tell myself that I will survive and I thank the Lord for the things that I can still do. Oh I'm almost deaf and I have diabetes too. Lucky me right lol. Take it easy brother. We will survive.

Unfortunately I cant really think of a disabled survivalist/ bushcrafting channel off the top of my head. Im sure they exist but like most good channels, YT makes it a challenge to find them.
The mental strain of not being able to do what I used to do is by far one of the most difficult things to overcome. I still can't help but gauge current performance off of what I "used to" be able to do. But hey, no one said life is fair right. Cant do anything about it but find methods that work for you. What helps me is knowing that even though I may be slower at physical stuff, I can absolutely make up for it in knowledge and less physically intense skills like cooking and food preservation. Absolutely crucial skills to have that alot of people lack these days. Play to your strengths, and if that means learning new skills that might involve a more stationary position, then so be it. Stay safe out there

    Great video! Thank you!
Living solo with paralysis/spina-bifida. I've been prepping for a year now: food, solar/wind generator, and water catchment/filters. I've always had shootin' irons, now I have a couple more, strategically placed, and extra am m0.

Now I am 44 years of age. My concern with the things that are happening right now is the security measures. I have no military background or whatsoever, for me, Everyday Carry or EDC and prepping person is more than the usual thing we often see in social medias nowadays and beyond with some common people I know whose after is the coolness look of being a prepper. It is a way of life for me, which comes with a character and having knowledge and adept of being able to respond in any given circumstances, whether it is an emergency or not.
I'm glad that I found your channel and I think, base on your background, you're the right person to modify things when it comes to security measures for physically disabled people like us. Hope you will continue this. Thanks and more power!

Definitely check out force multipliers. Its your turf, so set it up the way that is most comfortable for you. You dont need tactics beyond tactics to be successful, you just need to know the basics. Keep whoever where you want them. So if that means putting up fencing, briars, thorn bushes, whatever, make it so if someone does come around, youll know the likely entrance points so you know where to defend. Definitely don't underestimate a dog either. They can be great warning systems and deterrents. That what mine are for

And if you're fully paralyzed, you get to be the boss and order people around! That way you can say that others depend on you for handling an emergency, instead of you being dependent on others...

Lol. I tell people the same thing.
I know so much about survivalist skills, but would be unable to do most of it. I'll just boss people around!

I have cerebral palsy. In addition to the usual prepper items, I've also stocked up on extra parts so that I can fix my mobility aids when they break.

I feel you man. I, myself is a physically handicap and wants to be a prepper of my own for anything that comes to hurt me and my family, but the only different is that my disability is acquired since I'm one year and nine months old. So basically, this condition of mine is already my nature. But as the survival of the fittest comes to mine, it is something that tells me I can't do anything about it to protect myself and my family with my own self taught abilities, which I am improving and modifying base on my own capacities. I always hear the same thing as well that some say that there is no point preparing if you are disabled. I'm maybe physically handicap confine in my wheelchair since I'm one year and nine months old, according to my parents, I was able to trained myself of knowing the application of first aid, even if I can't do it by myself, literally, but I believe that by giving instructions and having the ability to calm anyone in the situation to do it for the person who needed it, will definitely saves a life.
Since I'm 15 years old when the term prepping was not that known in my country then. Even though I am a physically handicap, carrying or rather preparing for the things that might be useful in any emergency situations and anticipating the stuff needed for those kind of events will definitely be of help and as a physically handicap, I think that's one of the many things I can contribute to my family in times when SHTF happens.

Thank you for starting your channel. I liked your video and hit the notification bell too. I wanted to ask you too, whether or not you may have a household garden? You could start one in your home. The Kratzky method works quite well and you can get what you need at the dollar general store to get started. I was an insulin controlled Diabetic, mine wasn't primary, it was the second one. Diabetes 2, but I used Amla powder, which is basically bitter melon to help control my sugar and I've been told that Neem Powder can help with diabetes, mainly because it's like insulin and helps to cure Diabetes. I don't know if it would help your mum or not, but it is an herbal solution, just in case the grid goes down. I look forward to your videos my new friend. You gave me a lot of hope. Thank you for your service too. Take care.

I am very grateful that you served for my country, our country, though it doesn't seem like it now...I'm new here, but I feel that I'm right here with ya. I have degenerative disc disease, fibromyalgia, need a hip replacement and a knee replacement and can't walk very much. Ive been looking for a place with a pool to work out in as well, but don't really want to deal with people looking at me bc most people just act as if they're better than me. After my hip problem and back problems started, I went from being a hiker and being very active to not being able to move much so even though I only eat one meal a day, I gained 60 lbs in about two years time. I'm not wheelchair bound and I don't like to use my cane, but I do walk slowly and bent over, and I can't run anymore. Thank you for doing what you're doing. I feel much better about my position now.

I'll bet you money you're stronger than most people that consider themselves prepared because you have systems already in place to be able to do things if something happens

We are working on a site solely focused on prepping and survival when or a loved one has a disability, small children, etc... We got so sick of hearing creators in the survival niche ignoring this.

Hearing & visual impairment here (deafblind). I need my hearing aids and have severe tunnel vision.
I stash a cache of food that i eat in my normal life. "First in first out" principle so You don't need nutrient weak "canned food". I am vegan for health reasons. The base of the cache is nuts seeds, lentils, peas etc (those are nutrient dense : fibers, slow carbs, proteins& fat , vitamins and trace minerals). If SHTF I don't need to change my daily life diet at all, hence reducing stress from abrupt change. Stress, hunger, and too much change makes bad decision making .
In spite of the deafblindness, im am capable of surviving in the wilderness for long periods of time on my own, been there done that.
My biggest worry is hearing aids don't last forever and neither the batteies if civilisation collapses & stop providing such.
    Think about this :
A smartphone is way more complex to make than a pair of glasses. Still both costs about the same.

I am a 50 year old Legally blind Chap. That is a prepper. Don't give a shite what anyone else says. my max range of vision is colors, blurry shapes and forms, in medium light to aprox. 20 ft. I carry a 5 shot revolver, and am getting a 2 shot derringer. as a get off me gun. I also have been training kali for 40 years. I have enough preps for my fam for quite some time. So yeah. Cheer subbed and appreciative of the message. Cheers Mate.
