CART was crazy for its time
For sure.
Thank you for the rematch. CART in my opinion was the coolest form of open wheel racing.
Thank you my friend
These 90's indy were much more powerful than the current indy, their power was between 900 and 1000 CV and the cars were lighter than the current ones.
Tony George set Indycar back 20 years with that crap he pulled. 😡
What was the F1's second (flying) lap time? With the default setup, no ERS and no DRS (top speed 290 km/h - 180 mph), I did 1:27.252 in a few laps. With a better setup (still no ERS and DRS), it would be much quicker. Update: With just lower wings, 1:25.382 in a few laps (no ERS and DRS). Can be improved a LOT.
How the CART car could stay that close to the F1 car through the infield I am not so sure
F1 without DRS and ERS
Indy in a oval would crush both cars with less 710hp hits 243mph!!
Imagine Indy with the HP of the Ferrari which is around 1065hp!!! Would crush everyone!!!
Glad you guys went with Unser Jr. Paul Tracy would have run LeClerc wide and into the grass.
Man I miss those old Marlboro McLaren/Penske paint schemes. They looked amazing and still do.
I think that even without ERS and DRS, the F1 car is actually faster in terms of laptime. Will take a look.
On most road courses, for sure. But Daytona's road course is like 20% road course / 80% oval so the F1 car's huge downforce advantage over any era of IndyCar wouldn't help as much. Especially if you take away ERS and DRS from the F1 car
@@MitchellGOP Will take a look.
I don't know how a car with iron breaks (CART) can out-break a car with carbon brakes... seems a little unreal
F1 without DRS and ERS. Thanks for watching
NO DRS&ERS SF-23 vs SuperFormula SF23 please!!
In Spa or Suzuka
I think it could be interesting
LeClerc didn't even cover the corner & gave an easy as overtake for the CART car
Sometimes the AI doesn't defend itself as it should
Nice
Thanks
Pensei que o f1 ganharia facil , mas perdeu
Realistic not even close. 😂
the real answer is absolutely not but fun video
Why not on the oval course? On the oval the F1 car would be crushed.
We can try Oval next time. What is your suggestion for an oval course?
@@f1virtualfilms e.g. the Fontana Speedway
@@ralfhtg1056 Thank you very much for your support my friend
😂😂😂😂😂 cartoon network😂😂😂😂
This is so unrealistic its not even worth watching.
The F1 car would be 5 to 10s a lap faster based on acceleration and aero alone.
That f1 car topped out at 305kph. They're doing 340kph at spa.
The downforce and ground effects on the f1 car, plus modern tyres and brakes would make it entirely unfair for the champ car.
Not to mention the setup.
😂😊
I believe you didn't notice on the cover of the video and in the description that the F1 is without the ERS and DRS system, which makes it lose at least 200hp.
@f1virtualfilms would still pummel a cart into the ground with aero, brakes, suspension and tyres
Okay, I respect your opinion. Anyway thanks for watching@@antonyaiken
@@antonyaikennot in a straight line. Not even with ERS and DRS. But round a lap yes, it would be 5 or 6 seconds gone. But the top trap speeds of mid 90s to mid 00s champ cars are off the scale.
I'm a former McLaren engineer in F1 and also worked for Lola cars in CART. Both are phenomenal.
So no then because they both have damn stupid setups on them.
The A.I. is so broken.
Regardless of no DRS & ERS the F1 car should be pulling a big gap in the infield section.
Not realistic in the slightest.
CART cars have more brute force over what a modern F1 can pull off, it is insane and it makes you respect the drivers of that era for driving these rockets on wheels.
