Thanks! We always try our best to:) Pete preferred to make this an impressions video until he’s had a chance to test it in the wild, as he says - but hole this was useful to help you decide if you’re into it :)
I've played this a few times now and found it enjoyable. the fire closing in is a nice touch. A better option would be the ability to set how fast the fire will spread at the beginning of the game. This would allow players to make better strategic decisions at the start and during the game. I'm kind of surprised the Developers have not come up with a map builder option as a you can purchase add on.
I’m torn on that topic. I actually think this strategy is fine. Personally, as a customer I would only need Battles as I don’t have time to play the main game. Doing it this way means that I wouldn’t be forced to buy the more expensive main game and then buy DLC just to access the short form game mode. I think it’s a clever, modular way to sell the game
It's not that expensive, even if it was a dlc it would have been the same price and not all player are willing to buy the game and then buy the dlc just to play pvp
Just got it last night to test the AR on the Quest 3. It needs some adjusting to but I think this is the game I could fascinate my friends with a lot. I'm going to do some PVP tonight
Great impressions Pete! Do tell, since I have no friends and crap internet is it worthwhile purely as a single player experience, can I still unlock stuff if I don't play other humans?
As of now you can only earn 240 keys playing the solo mission, which isn't enough to unlock everything. You need 60 to unlock the rest of the characters and another 60 to unlock most of the stages. I still don't know how to unlock the last one, but I'm guessing beating all of the solo modes. The rest of the coins can be spent on cosmetics.
I think this should have been an addon pvp dlc for the original game. It is fun, but I like the original a lot more, and you can save and quit after every level in Demeo, if you don't have the time for a whole book.
Pete considered that, but I can see his logic. If it was a DLC, people who were just interested in the PvP would have also had to buy the full game, this keeps the PvP reasonably priced for those who are just interested in that :)
I could personally never get into Demeo because of the randomized nature of the game. Makes the missions feel completely pointless to me, since enemies just respawn all the time. All serious planning is thrown out of the window due to this. Seems like they botched this most important part of strategy turn based games again in this release with the firewall.
Great review! This is why this channel is the best place to get reviews on quest games. Top quality, lots of real honest info on the game. Super! 👍🏻

Love Resolution Games, but feel this should be a paid dlc

@@jawherammari6781 You both make fair points
let's go with spinoff.
Yeah, I watched your video after I finished mine and thought “Bugger, it IS a spin-off!!! Of course!!!”
Well phrased indeed

Two humans can play against AI. Also, there are 40 solo missions. I'm pretty sure in the video you say there are 20.
