- I Had to Make This Retro Peacock Chair For a Dolls House Because I Have Always Loved This Chair. BUT... This Was a Pain to Make. I Started Making it Several Weeks Ago and Wanted to Give up, but Decided to Finish it. Instead of The Metal Mesh, I Should Have Used Softer Mesh / Material (I ruined a Pair of Scissors). Wrapping the Cotton String Took so Much Time too. I used Both Super Glue and Tacky Glue and Acrylic Paint to Paint the Chair.

Instead of wire mesh, try using plastic / fabric mesh instead. Might be a lot easier 😄

A lot of miniaturists use counted cross stitch fabric for rattan or baskets and even caning in chair seats. It also comes in a natural color that looks just like rattan.

It looks so good! I’m surprised how realistic the wire mesh looks as rattan or wicker.
Also you’re very good at paint mixing! A lot of people it’s like they don’t understand colors and just mix everything together and hope for the best lol.
