Give her some time. My mother was complaining about this issue since the late 90s... I complain about it now... Everybody thought she was crazy and making a big deal out of nothing... Still, even with this tragedy people will still argue for things to stay the same. A lot of people are comfortable having all of their information out there... There are plenty of everyday citizens who won't want things to change. But, I think it should be easier to opt out of being listed. Nah. She's still in shock. When my mom died of cancer I had memory loss for 3 weeks and I remember only crying a few times. The first few weeks are okay because you busy yourself with things like the funeral and the outpouring of love IS there in the beggining. But after a month or so people stop calling as often and the finality of it all really hits you. I can't imagine losing a child. This woman has many years ahead of her until she feels okay.

I agree individual privacy should be protected, but I think this is a separate, specific issue. People in law enforcement are becoming targets. Protesters have gone from congregating at public and professional venues to protesting at people's private homes, where their children and loved once can easily become targets. We are entering an age of lawlessness where people become targets just for doing their jobs . If this continues, people will be so afraid to do their jobs that the entire judicial and law enforcement systems could literally fail. My mother was complaining about this issue since the late 90s... I complain about it now... Everybody thought she was crazy and making a big deal out of nothing... Still, even with this tragedy people will still argue for things to stay the same. A lot of people are comfortable having all of their information out there... There are plenty of everyday citizens who won't want things to change. But, I think it should be easier to opt out of being listed. Perhaps it should be like it used to be with the phone book/ white pages. Or a central opt out database for personal information created by the government that prevents sites that list personal information from listing information of people who opt out.

Nah. She's still in shock. When my mom died of cancer I had memory loss for 3 weeks and I remember only crying a few times. The first few weeks are okay because you busy yourself with things like the funeral and the outpouring of love IS there in the beggining. But after a month or so people stop calling as often and the finality of it all really hits you. I can't imagine losing a child. This woman has many years ahead of her until she feels okay.

I agree individual privacy should be protected, but I think this is a separate, specific issue. People in law enforcement are becoming targets. Protesters have gone from congregating at public and professional venues to protesting at people's private homes, where their children and loved once can easily become targets. We are entering an age of lawlessness where people become targets just for doing their jobs . If this continues, people will be so afraid to do their jobs that the entire judicial and law enforcement systems could literally fail. I pray God's protection and blessings on this judge and everyone who is putting their safety on the line to truly and properly serve and protect their communities.
