Minimoog jam to Strymon BigSky, out it's left channel to the MXR analog delay, right channel to Red Witch Titan delay with the fx loop to the Red Witch Empress Chorus. Minimoog also sent dry to the Electroharmonix Stereo Reverb in stereo echo mode for ping pong delay. There's a Korg MS-20 for some occasional bass too. I recorded straight out of the desk onto a Sony M-10 field recorder, no extra processing apart from the hardware. So much fun to play! Hope you like it.
When the Moog gets that tremolo ... Can´t get any sweeter.. After so many years, it is still one of my favorite sounds.
Lush isn't it!!
Bro I don't know what you did here lol but I come back to this video a few times a year...year after year. The mood of this video will hit me, and I'll look it up. I'm sitting at a gate at the airport right now, and for some reason I thought about this video. I watched planes land with the sunrise and New York City on the horizon... Amazing. Thank you for this one bro.
Same here. It's incredible really.
@@surferbois It really is. I love this piece
Upon listening to this with my HD600 cans, I gotta say, the little analog detune that happens every now and then during the song makes this an even more enjoyable experience.
Excellent!! Surprisingly organic sounding for an electronic instrument isn't it!
@@EdZuccollo its been 5 years since my original comment, Im now sitting here with a sub phatty in front of me, and this still is one of the most magnificent pieces of music I ever heard.
Hell yeah, hd600s are great for this kind of stuff
still one of my favorite jam videos ❤
Good lord, this still hits hard.
Love coming back to this, healing music :-)
This is still one of my favorite videos to drop by. First push on the mod wheel, always gives me goosebumps :)
This is so good! Really loved that stereo delay chain, works like a charm with the mini
Thanks! Yeah that was fun patching all that together :)
Came here when i heared this in een fairlight doc. Beautiful, I love this very much. Very organic.
that was fucking beautiful
+Daze of Heaven Cheers mate! I like how a well placed swearword can convey sincerity!
+Ed Zuccollo What fuck about a misplaced swearword?
CrazyHorseInvincible haha you can tell when someone who isn't used to swearing chucks one in eh. It's just all unnatural. Intensity all up in the wrong part of the sentence
very cool soundscape jam you rocked there! Thanks for sharing. Love that character of the real Moog played by someone who learned it's subtleties.
greatlakestrader thanks very much for the kind words! There really is so much scope on what is really quite a simple, but quality synthesizer. A pleasure to play
Sounds heavenly
I absolutely love listening to this over and over.
ahhhh lovely, thank you :)
I’ve been listening to this for about a year now love this so much thanks Ed
Hey thanks so much! So happy you found it then :)
Uhhh great sounding tonewise and melodic.
Love it!
Really sounds lovely Ed! Cheers!
This is so beautiful I could cry
Beautiful! I love that :)
Beautiful
Sounds like Aural Psynapse - Deadmau5
thought the same thing!
Thought the same thing.
Thats because it is fam
... I feel fucking stupid because I read that as anal prolapse.
Jaaq Ess, it’s not quite Aural Psynapse. It may be an interpretation of it, though. Deadmau5 makes good music, for sure.
A synth and a delay are the only things i need in my life
hahaaaaa it can seem this way until you realise they're not that comfortable to sleep on
very beautifull; I listen that a lot of time
My favorite synth. Some day I'll have one and not only a virtual plugin. I am grateful for those too though. Well played👍
This was beautiful. I always look for moog and synth performances and end up seeing a bunch of "arp-and-tweak" stuff. Which is ok, but THIS was exactly what I was looking for.
Excellent! Happy to be of assistance! I often do solo moog performances during my solo shows, I'll record another one soon and chuck it up :)
I feel you mate!
This is great ed, thank you so much I needed some chill moog synth arpeggios in my life
this was so good I had to come back for it
yusssss :D
Fantastic.
Now that's talent! Wonderful song!
okiichimpo thanks chimpo!
This is beautiful!
Well this was a lucky stumble. Awesome space you took me to, bro! Thanks.
Mean! Thanks! One year later I can let you know I appreciate you sharing that! :D
Suite!!! I used to jam like this with a 4-track tape loop and a mini-korg.
Very nice, Ed!
Thank you!! :)
Nice performances
That wss fantastic, thanks for sharing.
+Jon Grönvall Thanks and thanks for watching!
cool sound
Wonderful! Sounds a little bit like Deadmau5's Aural Psynapse
very inspired and inspiring; absolutely great!
Awesome work and awesome track matey
Thanks, Jura
Great work there man, that was awesome. Heavenly !
Thanks a lot Craig! Glad you enjoyed :)
Oi...this is moogy good!!!
Oi! Muito obrigado! :)
Beautifully done! :-)
I miss the moooog!
Cassaundra Bergman :) how good is it?! So good. Looking forward to you visiting it, because that means we'll get to hang out!! There are many more Moogy jams to be had.
It's a kind of Magic
Amazing Ed
+Edoardo Elisei Thank you!

Beautirul!!! thanks
Wow, Houston Tranquility base, the Eagles has landed ... AWESOME
Superbe!
I am just gonna say it: This is probably my favorite synth performance of all time, not even kidding. The sound of it is just incredible. Any chance to download this as .flac or something similiar?
Thanks so much!! I'm not sure why I keep forgetting to put it up for download - sorry! If you sign up to my website www.edzuccollo.com then I'll be sure to let you know when it's out :)
Hey, I still didn't see anything popping up about this. But I kind of need this .flac in my life. Especially since I am getting a pair of new studio speakers now. Please upload this!
@@EdZuccollo Still nothing, still waiting another 4 years later :D
and only one oscillator.
so good!!!
...thank you...
БРАВО!!!!!МАЭСТРО!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
роман сибиряк thank you!
The recording is so good, you say that you are coming out of the desk into a sony m-10, what desk? No audio interface then? Compared to many other videos this just sounds so much deeper and rich.
+Reagan Call Thank you! Yeah no audio interface - I guess it gets coded digitally in the Sony M-10, but it's mixed analog in the Mackie Onyx desk and what you hear here is what I heard in my room when I played it. I just recently got an EPIC custom recording console built by this guy Ekadek in New Zealand. I'm going to do a video using that soon. It sounds lovely.
Can't to hear the new stuff
*can't wait
This gives me underwater feels the same way Children by Robert Miles does. I love music like this.
Love what the mod wheel is doing! Can you talk about what that's controlling?
Yep! So for this whole piece the mod wheel is assigned to filter modulation only. The modulation starts with a blend of a triangle LFO and white noise which gives it a furry quality. At 1:29 I change the LFO shape to square, and you can hear the edgier modulation it gives. Does that explain it?
man this is great! keep it up bud!
Thanks Luke!
Who needs a poly synth when you know how to add effects
Beautiful! ^^ I love this :3
Joy is still there. If you have the strength to brush yourself off and move along. No god can save you my friend. No. Only knowledge, love and self preservation can save you.
fucking fire my dood.. 100. I need more
Yeaa
Beautiful and a lot of skill shown here! *Deep bow*.
What type of reverb did you use on the BigSky? In the clip I saw bank 02 with a green light (instead of yellow) on "A". Is that the fabric setting or your personal Bank 2?
Thanks very much! I think that is the stock bank 2 A patch - although I can't be sure. I've made a lot of my own and I can't remember if I edited that from it's original but if so it's not far off. I remember liking that one straight off!
Yeah, I think it is "fabric" or close to it.
Also, your signal chain (moog->REVERB->delay) I find "eye-opening". Started experimenting with it on a prophet 08. Very nice how the tail in the reverb doesn't get influenced by delay. Very nice. So thanks for the insight.
Cheers! I actually came across reverb->delay by accident when I was playing with some pedals and it just sounded so much lusher than I expected - and that's when I noticed I had plugged the reverb first and delay second. That was a happy mistake!
Genial!
Fuck yeah this is sick dude.
Jake Paxton cheers man!
Astral travellin'

Ed...are you using all of the oscillators?
No, just the first :)
Du an album please
this sounds so fat and gorgeous...could you please share the patch you used on minimoog?
what kind of music would this be called? looking for a genre name. i know of synthwave but what would this sound be called?
shit knows man.... ambient?
ive looked into ambient before. So far ive only been lucky to hear the 'sound' im trying to find by searching up Modular Synth Jams or stuff of the like. this video is great nonetheless. good work.

how do you power your pedals?

Wow. This may be just a "jam" but it sounds like a finished piece to me. Very moving.

The one TRUE love is knowledge which we seek. Send your ships to rescue your stranded children. We are longing for our true home. Missing you.
That patch sounds incredible! Could you please send me a picture of the control panel so I can see the settings you're using?
I recognised this when it was played on a piece by The Age & Sydney Morning Herald! Are you aware they used it? ua-cam.com/video/jkiYy0i8FtA/v-deo.html
What a creamy sound... the king of monosynths.
isn't it!! so lush
I think I floated away to someplace else while I was listening to this.
That's perfect! :)
I think my soul is in a happy place right now. :) comfy feels
Ed Zuccollo, I didn't hear the MS-20 at all. Did you wire it incorrectly?
@@alexandra.willitts6988 2.17 and 2.54
After so many years still the best creative sounds i ever enjoy listening.....tq Ed
This is awesome
Stoked you're into it, there'll be more :)

Love this! Did you know that It is being used on a video I just watched - "The Fairlight CMI - the story of the first commercially available digital sampler and sequencer"?
You really channelled some emotions with this piece. I keep coming back to it because it's so beautiful.
Hi really love this patch! Can you tell us something about the settings on the Moog?
Greetings
To be honest, I've never liked the sound of a synth as much as this one. This is powerful. Wow men, wow, incredible work and emotion. Bravo
you have shown perfectly why the Minimoog is the king of synths. There will never be a better synth in my opinion.
"floating thru space" music🎶👌
I have the Digital version of the wonderful Minimoog.
The Krog Wavestation EX 🎹
Rocket science to program but can create" floating thru space" music, in Digital version.
I come back to this all the time man its so beautiful!
Love!
awesome thank you!!
Can you please master this and give us a FLAC? Its absolutely amazing, I am going to Tokyo Japan later this year, and I am finding music for my trip, I walk through cities with my headphones on just basking in the glory, help me please ED.
Hahaha sorry I saw this much too late! You're right, I should make it more available! I'll throw it up on Bandcamp at some point I reckon
Ed Zuccollo Dude, please man I still want it
Cough
@@EdZuccollo pls.
I know this is 3 years late but just download some Berlin school music my friend!
The sound of the Minimoog is timeless! 👍🎹
I can not tell you how motivational this is.
I'm going to get my Minimoog out of my basement tomorrow (along with my old digital delay and reverb) and hook everything up again.
(Yes, I know the digital delay and reverb pales in comparison to the analog units).
Thank you for this!
beautiful minimal jam!
great work with the delays!
+VolcaRock cheers! That was what this came from - just playing around with effects pedals :)
Très jolie ! simple mais bien amené ! je l'écoute souvent pour m'endormir tranquillement :)
That's a lovely tone. I just hope the reissue sounds like honey too.
Keep in mind you will have to add on delay and verb to get this same type of sound.
Thank you :)
I'd love to use this track in a video I'm making, have sent you a message via your website. Pls let me know if you didn't receive it.
I come back to this all the time . Absolutely perfect !!
Thank you! I was transformed to a better place.
Lovely! Thanks! :)
