EXPLOSIVE Mousetrap and Domino Chain Reactions

- I found a mouse in my kitchen. It nibbled on my Thanksgiving rolls! So I bought a mousetrap. But mostly I ended up playing with the mousetrap, so I decided to get a bunch more and see just what I could do with them.
I only snapped my fingers in a mousetrap twice while making this video. It hurt, but not as much as I thought it would. Fortunately I had no incidents with the rat traps. Those things are scary.
I learned that mousetraps aren't really designed for doing this sort of usage. I destroyed four of them. They are also not precision built, so there were annoying inconsistencies, something that I wasn't used to as a domino builder. Rat traps are a lot louder, bigger, and scarier. They are entertaining to watch live for that reason. But since they are heavier I don't think they make for as spectacular of explosions as the mousetraps. And I also don't like the risk the rat traps involve. Getting your finger snapped by a mousetrap is one thing; a rat trap is quite another.
How does this relate to my recent Rats vs. Squirrels video? I was experimenting with these traps when the contest was announced. I realized that these chain reactions are very fast, and they seemed like a prime candidate for a contest entry. Link to the Rats vs. Squirrels video: • Rats vs. Squirrels: An...

All those mice and all those traps, yet I only saw one get caught. 😉 I love how they just explode, going from order to absolute chaos in a heartbeat.
Those mice are too smart! The squirrel at 1:09 did get his ear caught by a trap.
This is honestly incredibly satisfying. Awesome video as always!
Thank you!
The whole chain reaction with mouse traps were insane! Really loved your new intro!
Thanks!
Lol 1:25 didn't want the cheese
Haha, he only likes gourmet imports. I got an adorable picture of my youngest eating that slice of cheese though.
This was incredibly explosive. Fantastic! that stairstep up at 3:26 was so fast!
Thanks!
Today I learned that mousetraps are terrifying.
At least I learn something new every day?
😆 I snapped my fingers in them a couple times making this.
@@StayFawnTop Oh, well I hope you're okay! Also, this is incredibly chaotic yet so satisfying! All of your content is amazing, keep it up!
Just so you know, I have about 3 hours of free time right now, so I'll do 1 or 2 clips for the collab.
Dang! I love how the mousetraps explode! Great job!
Thanks!
Wow!
They are really satisfying!
Thanks!
Also, sweet intro. Very unique
Thanks! I’ve wanted to change it up for a while, finally did it.
3:12 WOW so cool i had never seen this before
Thanks!
This was so much fun to watch! I've seen mouse traps used in domino setups quite a lot but I don't think I've ever seen them be used AS dominoes, very creative! There were plenty of other cool ideas in there as well, especially the clip at 2:49 and the final clip :)
Thanks! It was fun to explore the idea. I tried to see if anyone had done something similar and quickly realized I was on my own for ideas. And the final clip is definitely my favourite.
This was incredible!!!! I loved every clip!!!! I wish I could do stuff like that!!!
Thank you!
Your new intro is incredible!! You should definitely keep it!
Oh and the video was alright too.
Just joking, the video is insane!! There are so many awesome clips and a few of those slo-mo shots are some of your best works yet. My favourites are the colourful setups towards the end of the video, and if I had to pick one in particular it would be 2:53
Thank you! I really like these slow motion clips too.
Victor should sponsor you! :-)
Ikr, maybe I could get them to sponsor a large scale project.
Awesome intro. Also thst must’ve been a real real struggle setting up a lot of mousetraps without getting your fingers caught in them.
Thanks! I got my fingers caught twice in mousetraps. It hurt, but not as bad as I thought. Fortunately I had no incidents with the rat traps. Those are scary.
2 questions:
1: is your wall dented now?
2: how did you not break any fingers setting these up?
My wife’s concerns exactly. The wall has dents, but I’m not sure if they’re from traps or dominoes. I did get my fingers caught in the traps twice. The biggest risk was cleaning up and discovering untriggered traps. It hurts, not not that badly. The rat traps are scary though, I didn’t get that many of them because I didn’t want to take the risk.
Cool!
Thanks!
lol that was cool!
Thanks!
