Nas celebrated his 50th birthday with the release of his new album Magic 3, produced by Nas’ longtime collaborator Hit-Boy. Magic 3 is the duo's sixth album together in the last 3 years and serves as the third installment to the Magic series. Magic 3 features 15 brand new tracks and also marks the final chapter of the legendary run for the prolific rapper-producer duo.

The craziest thing is that Nas already cemented his legacy and financial status in the 90's. Nevertheless, he just put out 2 trilogies at the age of 50, like he is an upcoming rapper in his 20's, who is hungry to make it. Give him his flowers while he is here with us!

Championship Status🎉
The industry tried to deny both these brothers so they forged their own path. This run has solidified Nas as THE GOAT beyond a shadow of a doubt. There’s a gap at the top now. It’s Nas at number 1 and then daylight between him and whoever you got at number 2.
And then you got Hit Boy, who has catapulted himself into the discussion of Top 10 all time producers. Nobody ever in hip hop history has put together a 6 album run like this. The closest comparison is RZA and that was with a whole cast of different personalities and styles. Hit Boy made 6 distinct albums with their own flavor and vibe, all with one artist.
This is the most legendary run in the history of the rap game. We have all been witness to something truly special.
Maybe the Dr Dre run with Eminem and then g unit was something to top this
@@blackmcbain3145 Dr. Dre didn't produce those albums alone. Especially on the G-Unit side most of the production wasn't Dre at all. Eminem, Mike Elizondo, Havoc, Hi-Tek, Timbaland, Sha Money XL and several others all contributed.
On the Eminem side, after the MMLP Em actually produced most of his own beats and then 45 King, the Bass Brothers and Mel-Man also contributed.
Hit-Boy did these albums completely solo start to finish.

How special this is won't kick in for too many people till a decade from now. We gotta learn to appreciate GREATNESS as it is happening right before our very eyes and ears. This 6 album run is INCREDIBLE, SPECIAL, SENSATIONAL, hell we're runnin out of superlatives for what just happened these past 3 years.
