You can still add a rely to that unit as well. It just means you'll also have a manual override for on and off too.
The video description is great! This kind of cigarette lighter USB integrated machine is necessary. I bought this elecdeer brand not long ago. After using it for a period of time, it feels very convenient and very good. Everyone can spare one.
The card trick...love it!
That's some illuminati shit on that throw spicy!
Great way to start a "how too" video, Loved the card trick.
you got me laughing in the first 30 seconds. that deserves a like.
Awesome and easy indeed
Liked and subscribed for that mean packaging trick!
Had one fitted to my Triumph Tiger 955...Hope the wiring doesn't melt like mine did under load from a small tyre inflators/compressor!!! Beware especially as it's under your seat...
If you're doing a video that's going to be on the interwebs, it might be, in future, a good idea to leave the battery negative off until you're finished fiddling with the battery positive and only then reconnect it. It prevents sparkage when using metal tools in close proximity to a metal chassis.
Not really, he had that rubber boot back on the positive terminal by then, but, indeed, not best practise. ;-)
Spicy110 expert marksmen for hire!
+Inqu Fox haha I'm not a bad shot tbh but this was full luck.... NO no I mean skill totally meant to do it haha
4 years ago man that was a long time ago. Just affter some information did this ever kill your battery in the end looking for something like this for my r6
Cool little bit of kit that
I like watching things like that because you can learn how to do it without destroying or blowing up your battery I have a Honda and I'm going to do the same thing on the first of the month get a USB charger that hooks to your battery and hook it up to The handlebar mine's going on The handlebar
like purely for the flick at the beginning hahaa
Wow I just ordered one the other day freaky
You dont even need the relay. Go to the fuse box of the bike, and find a wire, that is live when the ignition is on and not when its off. I use the headlight line for example. Make sure you take the feed out before the fuse, or your putting more load on the (headlight) fuse, but make sure there is a fuse inline with whatever your installing.
Samuel Gamble i think my kymco movie doesnt have a fuse box, else i cant find it. I found the headlight wires but theres 3 wires just out of the main bulb boot coming out to a bigger connector containing 5 wires and 1 empty. I cant figure out how to mount the charger on the front and wire it to the switch (so its on ONLY when switch is on, regardless of engine running state) also theres a single spare fuse in battery compartment, can I solder it to the 12vDC plug and use it ? Do I solder it on the pos or neg side ? Thanks!
0:38 My guy that was Nice 😂😂😂
I had to subscribe soon as u made that shot😜🕺💪🏿💯
You'll forget at some point, I wired my heated grips in direct. Two years with out leaving them on I went and left them on and killed my battery. Its like riding a bike, its not if you fall off, its when you fall off.
Nice video spice
that cardboard flick alone deserves a like.
Thanx Bro
I would strip down a lot of the small electronics you order from the internet even if they say its genuine and with the correct fuse, wire braid/gauge. Ive had one of those 12V chargers catch fire as it was not correctly insulated i had to rip it off and throw it before it spread. just strip it and check for piece of mind, internet is full of "how" things should be wired if you do not understand how things work.
Subscribed just because of your shot lol
no scope ?
One piece of friendly advice-I'd refrain from ballencing the seat like that, it how the previous owner of my bike put the sear and it wore small holes that grew bigger and the seat began holding water inside
At 4:24 you say “take the negative, there’s like a battery cover here” and then proceed to connect the negative somewhere without explaining where. Where do you connect the negative from the charger?
Handy, I defo want a USB up on my bars/dash on whatever my next bike is, charge the satnav, or even cameras etc in a tankbag with a long enough cable for travel of course. Hadn't considered the emergency side of it though
Would this work for a Ebike could I connect it directly to the battery?
What a skillshot. Oh and are you planning on doing a long trip or something?
Nice throw!😂
Super late to the video but nice shot man! Lol
nice shot
Only trouble is every time you want to use it you have to take the seat off.
If you got an emergency charger battery you could leave your phone in your pocket and charge it, then put the charger on charge on the bike that way you always have power for your phone.
You could also get one of those cheap wireless charger circuits so you don't even have to plug it into the phone, connect it to the emergency charger battery pack and just place it in your pocket with your phone.
You do need one of those wireless charging phones though.
Or you could go one better and set up a small plastic box at the back of the bike to hold your emergency charger battery and wireless charge through the tail section, or if you don't want to wireless charge just run a cable to the small plastic box and charge directly, but there may be corrosion over time so it would need to be well protected from rain.
Considering how light and cheap these emergency chargers are you could mount it directly using stick on Velcro to your side panel and use the gap on the panel as a plug in point, that way you wouldn't need to remove the seat every time you wanted to plug in.
Fare does, I suppose it depends how many times that key has to turn, but an emergency charger costs £1 in the pound shop nowadays and will give you half a charge approx, sticky Velcro £1 run a cable from your device to the side panel and you wouldn't need to take the seat off at all once it's in place, auto stop start on emergency charger, the bike charges the emergency charger once charged it takes no more juice from the bike, no would know it's there except you, unless they see you plugged in of course and even if they did it's only a pound you would lose, of course you could go with a better emergency charger battery but then it's more to lose, would be more flush to the bike though.
It's only an option you may wish to consider, also by making it Velcro you could simply remove it whenever you wanted.
Great idea.
That way I don't have to snake a wire from the battery to the dash area on my scooter.
good video!! Nice shot by the way! hahaha
Liked for the trick shot :D
Nice shot! Perhaps your luck is changing . . best go buy a lottery ticket or two ;)
The last time I installed a sigaretcharger on the bike, was right before i went to England.
Didn't work out.... When charging the TomTom, the bike lost its power xD
Can u do video on how to clean the hard to reach places and what mean bits you need to check when buying second hand bike
+Shaw-Enough Gaming the second hand bike thing is a video I have on my list, so soon!
nice instructions for me and I already have 2 charging ports at the front of my Trader
Does the same thing go for an electric scooter as for a gas when installing USB charging/12v system?
noooo, that battery is way more volts. You should have a 12v circuit to use, but you will need to know for sure! Do not attach anything to wiring you do not know on an electric it will end in fire or worse.
Get a USB e tender, then route it through the fairing. Job done. 😅
Pretty sure most relays are "electromagnetic," as in, adding power to a bit of metal makes another bit of metal touch it, thus closing your circuit.
My accessory has a tiny on-off switch.
I don't trust it. But I'm also too lazy to install a relay.
So, obviously, I've gotta get stranded to learn my lesson😅
What a lucky shot 🏀
What a shot lol
Like deserved at 40s already :)
i like the way you talk... i give you 💯 like 😋😋😋
MLG ninja 360 no scope spicy110.
I'm going to get one without a switch, so I can put the switch at the front, so it can charge a big power bank in the boot for my 5000km (3600mile) journey :)
20 seconds into the vid, thumb up, carry on...
what a shot!!! lmao!
That is a good idea but at the same time you can use an old phone that have GPS so if the bike is gone you know where it is
What if you don’t have a battery
Just curious why in the world wiuld you mount that under your seat. Isnt that gonna be a pain in the ass to always have to take the seat off everytime you wanna charge something.
Not for my uses no, I used it for charging my phone on long rides and cameras.
Yeah i bet some arsehole would just come flick the switch on if you parked it up and you'd come back to a dead battery.
He doesn’t need it for his “balls”?
Is that what he said? 😅
I don't understand why you put the switch under the seat...doesn't that make it rather inconvenient having to remove the seat every time you want to hook up your phone?
As I have said multiple other times in the comments no for my uses I wanted it to be under the seat. If you want it on the bars mount it on the bars, hooking it up is the same and that is what I am showing here.
You're doing it wrong. You need to drill into you're fuel tank, use the wrong Torque wrench settings, and split it into a 12 part series. Do a whole episode about cleaning the bike for example.
Michael Gallagher If you go to Jake the Garden Snake's channel and check the most recent upload. At the very beginning he shows how much Patreon money C2W gets per episode. I nearly fell off my chair.
Why the name spicy110? :)
he needed a name in 2006 for something and that was automatically generated by UA-cam or something
+Manus correct apart from the Spicy part came from the fact I was eating a Spicy chicken slice at the time hahaha seriously
Who gives a poo about his nick when he throws a manuals like a shuriken?!
The "motor" in the switch is called a relay.
GURNARD
00:48 !!!!!
Fuck sake, imagine you with a ninja star🌟
Thumbs up for the cardboard shot.
What good is it under the seat? How do you grab your phone? SMH
Who are you shaking your head at? It's my bike and this is not a how to video, I grab my phone the only time I want to, when i am not riding the bike.
They don't make it anymore 😭
Soggy bread sticks = the worst Italian food
whats the point..
I do not need a bar mounted charger. If you need a bar mounted charger, mount it on the bars. The connection of wiring is no different just longer.
WOW that was AWESOME!!! "CLICK BAIT" !!!
.
bubble wrap.
you better place the charger in your bedroom...so everytime you needed power just go home and charge it....
You are difficult to follow. You talk too much. Just explain it simpler how to connect and make it work!
lots of time wasted listening to his own mumbling voice
Yes i saw that
When you threw that cardboard and it stuck in the toolbox. I was thinking, "That was amazing!" and then it seemed like you were not going to say anything about it. ha ha!
