I was very disappointed to hear about people breaking into stores to loot TVs and alcohol. This story is different, I applaud his resourcefulness and willingness to help others. Be like Jay and not the looters!
The whole story is that Jay was stranded and knocked on 10 doors begging for help only to be turned away even though he offered 500 dollars to sleep on the floor. He finally broke into the school and used the snowblower from the janotors closet to rescue the people who were also stranded that he passed on the way. This is the type of man that you want to lots of kids and pas his values on to
Yes missing that part of repeatedly asking for shelter and was turned down. The blessing in disguise is he saved some people who would have died otherwise. One guy apologized afterwards in tears for turning him away

In these horrible times of racism we see happening across the country in what seems like all the time, it's stories like this & others (the young black woman who saved an older white man from hypothermia, the couple who opened their home to the stranded Korean tourists, the McDonald's managers who allowed 50 people to eat/stay warm inside their restaurant overnight & now this brave young man) that show there's still compassion left in the world. Saying thank you to the people who helped the others is a complete understatement. I know there has to be other stories of people who helped out during this blizzard. I wish there was a montage that could be made reflecting all of the people who unwittingly saved a life/lives. HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!! 🥳🎉🎊🥂BE BETTER THAN YOU WERE LAST YEAR!!😊
