Thank you so much for the information on the bag. Thank you for the video and you have a gorgeous collection. Also, you are a very good speaker. I am definitely going to give you a follow.
Meh, not a huge fan of the new logo. I loved the old one. I do agree, that dropping the Salvatore bothers me less than the new font. I’m partial to the script.
The “Blandification” of luxury brands continues. One thing that i have noticed is that every time a luxury brand changes it’s logo, the logo becomes less stylized and more bland. Brands are ditching cursive and distinct fonts for something that has clean straight lines like a San serif font or a simple serif font. The Fashion Law blog has an article tracking luxury brands that have made similar changes like this.
The new logo is disastrous. It is so diluted, generic and with a lack of personality. I believe that Maximilian does not yet understand Italian culture and the concept of heritage because of his age (regardless he is a gifted designer). I saw the collection, the show and I really liked it, but still there was a lack of magic when they wiped away what made Salvatore Ferragamo an iconic brand.
Interestingly the most current logo has more in common with their earlier logo's! Does this really fit with the idea of the brand being more bland if their previous logo's were not so luxurious to begin with? It was really surprising for me to see that they've gone through so many logo changes btw, I always thought thath that was a BIG faux-pas as it would be confusing to customers but in their case I don'think it harmed their business at all. What's the gorgeous red bag behind you in the video?
That is a good point! It has been so interesting to watch the brand change and although I was hoping they would have gained even more recognition- it is nice to see the growth. The red is the Marcher Juliet tote. I have a review about it if you want to see more :)
Not surprised. Was in the original boutique in Italy and it was literally empty. The brand has not been so appealing in the past years, many pieces are outdated or too trendy.
I am not a fan, I think the cursive is classy. The new logo is more industrial. I went to the boutique last weekend and my SA told me to buy all I could, the new items are coming in December and the pricing is going to go up significantly. I’ve noticed already $500 increases in some of their bags and their shoes have doubled in price. Crazy.
I agree! Oh wow! That is annoying that the prices are increasing so much! It’ll be interesting to see what previous pieces remain under the new creative direction

Yup! Thank you for sharing that- I’ll check it out! I’ve definitely noticed that trend as well.

I don't disagree!

@@Chicprofessor To me the brand is one of those I always see in passing but I never really paid attention to.
Mercii, yes I'll definitely check it.
What what is that red tote behind your head? I just absolutely love it and I need to have one.
It’s the Marcher Juliette tote ❤️

I’m very curious to see the new creative direction!

I know I texted you when I heard of the change. I’m not a fan.
It’s unfortunate
I like cursive
Me too!
It's not surprising
I agree! It will be interesting to see the changes with the new creative director as well
@@Chicprofessor yes it will be!
