My new favourite Crusader PVP build! Perfect for BGs, Rite of Exile Tower Wars, Shadow War and Vigil of Blades in the current meta. I took this build to Rank 5 Legend on my server. Sweep attack & Spinning shield Stunlock with the New Draw and Quarter essence!

Good there are other dh and wizards so DH can kill anyone at all! Every other class has some immunity but can kill a DH in 1-2 seconds. Of course I am talking same reso players.

Many thanks for sharing. Now I am equipped with the legendary gear you recommend except the horse. I equip light horse instead as I find that light horse make larger damage.

As a top up, consider using the newest BrambleStalker pet with 6x yellow pvp skills - its main attack is an additional cc. :)

I'm using a very basic saviour pet in this video because it's the best I have currently 🥲
@@Mao_DI creating a pet like this will cost you around 30-40k plat.. buy one with 3 yelow skills, then add more yellow skills of your choice by melding :)

Crusader was hit hard with the nerfs this update. Clearly Blizz is trying to push people to try out Tempest when it lands. Pretty sure Wiz was nerfed loads last year before BK launched?

Going to try this now! I'm a little nervous about giving up my extended conjuration essence, but let's see how this goes.
How do you feel about giving up some magic affixes for a semi-decent legendary with the new magic affixes? I'm thinking things like the horse explosions, conjuration speed boost, or the holy banner attack boost with a different build.
Yeah give it a go! As for magix affixes it really depends how bad the items are rolled... It always feels bad giving up crit chance otherwise for other affixes could be ok. I have had almost no luck finding a good one so I'm not using anything special in this video
@@Mao_DI Alright.. Just did two tower wars with it (I'm using Punish and mete out mercy. Don't want to lose 10% charm buff 😅). That was amazing! The speed was very nice to zip from one tower to the next, and despite having reduced conjuration of light, I didn't die once in either match. I could zip in, do some damage, maybe get a kill or two, and zip out to heal. Thanks for sacrificing 3% of your win rate to figure this out!

I try this build with different gems and I feel its a good choice for a nerfed cruzader class. The total mess on CB... Like it.
So I believe the sweep attack main hand changes you primary attack to non sacred fire. So you’re not getting the attack speed from sacred fire offhand ability while sweep attack is active

Mao, would you recommend chip of stoned flesh and kir sling combo on Crusader?
Yes! I never used Kir Sling myself but I certainly felt it's affect from other players 🥲
On a sidenote I created this build before the introduction of the tempest class and I'm no longer sader (though I will be back soon) so I'm not sure how effective this build would be in the current meta. Regardless the combo you mentioned is still very powerful for any build that synergizes with CC

This build was my alternative choice in case of nerfing saders current meta. I’m glad to see it came to the “mainstream” bcs I’d received so many toxic comments like “Noob crusader don’t use fkn horse” - comments mostly from ppl who don’t play sader at all:P

Just letting out some post-nerfs stress with this one 😂
The falling sword nerf doesnt reduce it to only 1 hit per target. Just "once per instance of damage". There was a bug that caused it to hit some targets multiple times each second. All its saying now is that the bug was fixed. It still hits every second, or every time you see the animation. Only thing that really happened to it was -15% dmg.
Also think there'd be a better option than misery elixir. Even at rank10, after the pvp strife it only gives 8% increased durations of harmful effects. Id like to try this with the abiding curse you mentioned, and 4 pc barons instead of mountebank. Abiding curse will help with survivability, and its a harmful effect, so the 2pc set bonus will give you the full 30% increased durations on stuns (more annoying 😂) as well as abiding curses duration. The 4pc will also attribute even more to the support capabilities allowing all teammates to deal more dmg. Probably still a little more squishy than having 4 mountebanks, but with that higher armor and resistance you talk about, i think it could work well.
Thanks! Yes there are definitely better options. My gem setup is far from optimised and I gave a few better suggestions. I would love to try the build with abiding curse and also chip of stoned! Sometimes compromises have to be made 😅
@@Mao_DI ha this looks fun though! I tried the helicopter horse once already, and also spinning shield adamant lash + black rose in another build, but somehow never thought to pair them together. Will definitely give this a go.
I'm surprised no one yelled at you for staying in phase 2 spawn while right lane was moving towards the half way mark lol.

Can the Misery Elixir gem used for Cru be used to farm in pve?

Yes, Its one of the best gem options for lower resonance players imo. Could even be an good option for medium reso
I've used this build a while back just to see if it works., Sadly is not pretty good due to the fact that knock back is not the real problem for Saders, it's all the freaking cc. If you don't have a way to prevent this then you will be dismounted in a blink of an eye, which will negate this entire build. My work around this is to use the chest essence that gives you immunity to cc along conjuration of light. you will lose damage immunity but is better than an useless build. Hit and run tactics.
Stacking cooldown also helps combat this so that your draw and quarter is ready again when you get dismounted. This does require at least 1-2 awakenings though... You can see the few times I was knocked back in my matches I was able to mount up again pretty quick 😎
Mao, try the same build but with lighsader and karawan's catch instead. You are loosing mobility but I'm curious how it works in this sinergy and I don't have the enough resources and time to test and to respec my gems to make this build work in this moment. Maybe instead of the shield, FS with incandescence. However, your build should work very well with the eternal gear for the shield which drops the cd when I are using primary.
Unfortunately it seems like Karawan's Catch essence is not able to be channeled whilst on the horse. I also tested incandesence, the cc immune is nice but the damage is very underwhelming and you don't have much control on when to release the channel. It just auto-releases when it fills up
@@Mao_DI karawan's that's why will work good with lightsaders as you channeling without mounted, you will be getting the immunity for knock back from the chest and extra DMG and knock back from horses
Ahhh my bad I thought you meant the light horse (Galloping brilliance). With lightstriders it could be an interesting build. As you said the mobility would be pretty bad with no unholy wall offhand or mount horse but may be worth a try! Thanks for the idea!
They fixed the new shoulder pc. Is working on bosses now

I think spinning shield is completely useless unless a stun effect is also considered a immobilized effect. If not you're relying on a gem or another player to get any benefit. And your build should never have to rely on RNG or someone else.
So if stun and immobilizer not the same then I recommend you drop the shield for like falling sword because then you're doing damage or you can even go with the shield glare offhand that blinds when you take damage.
You're right. Those are also decent options and I actually tested playing with both! Spinning shield actually does a bit more damage than either of those from my testing though. I really like having it to give an extra kick to the build especially with black rose in my setup. Pre-nerfs I probably would have kept falling sword, I really liked the slow effect and larger range
@Mao_DI this is also why I run abiding curse so I still have a control imparting effect without falling sword. I have 40% increased dmg to enemies suffering loss of control between all my reforge stats so all these stuns and slow effect from abiding curse give a nice dmg boost too.
This is exactly why he mentioned black rose. The 1 star gem causes the immobilize, then spinning shield stuns.

They nerfed every essence i use across 3 setups! Im done theyll not get another damn cent. . .
Played it on the second day where i optained the new essences, in the High tier (Legend Lobbys) This build is not working you cant go against 8-10K enemys. Immunity has WAY too long cd and without Banner has this Build literally no Impact.... but nice try! it works fine in the lobbys where you are the Carry / higher reso player!
Thanks! I can only speak from my experience as someone playing in the 2-3K resonance bracket. In the ocassion you queue into a whale match of course it is hard to be super impactful against 8-10K enemys. With this build at least you can buff your teamates with a movement speed and give a little cc support to other higher resonance players on your team
It is a shame that we can't play banner with this build since Iron Faith takes up the helmet slot but at least in my matches the cc I can provide kinda makes up for it. This build also uses the same set items as the Meta PvP build... If you have fast APM and prefer to play that build you can always switch essence/skills at the NPC inside depending on the match up. Unfortunately finding builds that allow you to counter whales with low resonance is pretty difficult 😅

I did try the other knockback pants essence with dash charges. The knockback was nice but losing the 40% ias and movement to teamates wasn't worth it
@@Mao_DI dash horse is good but its not that great, thats why cavaliers coutwear is good with that essence you can maximize your sweep attack while they are on stun effect of the headpiece of sweep attack its a fun build thou..
