Touring a Modern, LUXURY Log Home In Jackson Hole

- When you think of a log home, you think of a quaint and cozy getaway secluded from the hustle and bustle of reality.
But that rustic charm often comes with a tradeoff.
Most log homes lack modern style and amenities, and while you might enjoy their romantic allure for a week or two, some people wouldn’t want them as a full time residence.
This log home challenges that traditional stereotype.
Situated in Jackson Hole, The Indian Springs Estate combines the traditional rustic charm with modern flourishes that make it both cozy and stylish.
Enjoy this tour, hosted by Megan Mahoney, as we explore one of Jackson Hole’s most dynamic log homes.

One of my favorite houses I’ve seen! Great job 👏
Great presentation!
Thanks, glad you liked it!
Really nice. Change the the staircase and cat walk over to forged metal work railings. Position the seating to look out rather than inwards. The antler lights change to iron work. Loved the wildlife interaction, it's not going to happen every 5mins is it? So it'd be easy to live with. Only in America would you have a heated driveway! How much land with it? I'd be comfortable there.
Thanks! Some great ideas - I definitely agree with changing the seating positioning. And that would be interesting to see ironwork in place of the antlers. Yeah the wildlife interactions are fairly rare. It's on about 5.8 acres.
I love rustic architecture - well done
Thank you! Definitely unique!
Water feature attracts bears, moose and mountain lions. As gorgeous as the house and location are, that would be a deal breaker.
It is truly beautiful and very well planed out.
Glad you enjoyed it :)
Its beautiful....!!!
Thanks!
Great viewing !
Thanks!
I think it's stunning The only thing I don't like is the ultra realistic tree banister I think that's a little extra.
But as far as location and design everything else is absolutely breathtaking.
You can tell millions of dollars went into this home.
I think just using a wrought iron banister would have been equally as effective because there's so much wood in the home, it's also nice to do a contrast.
If I owned this place or if I purchased it that would be the first thing I would do is take out the staircase and put something a little simpler.
@@Mntguy-nr9vl That's an interesting idea. I think that would actually match the more refined aspects of the home as well. Thanks for watching!
Hello. Nice to see a young girl tour a home!
Oh, I would like to come here for a visit. A moose in your garden is charming.
Thank you! It was definitely a unique experience!
Def, but one with a softer voice - she hurt my ears
Lot's of ❤ from India
Gorgeous 😍
Glad you liked it :)
I like it very much.
Thanks!
That is a beautiful home and you present it very well.
Thanks! Appreciate the comment and glad you enjoyed it :)
Love her, love her presentation and love the home BUT where is the price and the SQ Feet of the home ? unless I missed it in the beginning.
Thanks for the kind words! It’s 8,896 sq ft and it’s actually coming back on the market shortly, so I’m not positive on the current price.
@@rusticinsider So what is the current price ?????
It currently isn’t listed with a price but I’ll update this when they do list it!
If I hit the lottery, this is the house I'll have built. P.S., "parameter & perimeter." You may want to look those words up for your next video! 👍✌️
Thanks and glad you enjoyed it!
Unless I missed it, I didn't here anything about radiant floor heating underneath any of the stone or tile flooring. In Wyoming, that would be a deal breaker for me.
That's a great point - It actually does have radiant floor heating! We included a segment on it in the original draft of this video, but it got so long we ended up cutting that part.
It's only a western log home with ANTLERS, ANTLERS EVERYWHERE! Check!! 😂
😍😍😍
There was so much invested in the home, but the landscape looks much too suburban for a natural setting like this. When the landscape is improved to a much more natural aesthetic, it will make the entire home more beautiful. Not to single this place out because most of these log homes suffer the same issue.
great water feature, don't have to leave your house to go hunting
How do you get staff to work here?
I could hang here 👍
Elevator?
This one does not as there are only two guest suites upstairs. The primary suite and the main living spaces are all on the main level
Take a shot whenever she says "rustic".
You're welcome.
Acerage?
It's on 5.85 acres :)
Who doesn't have the money for a too long mile heated driveway.😅😅😅
And the person that owns this home probably doesn’t spend a couple months a year there.
The exterior is fantastic. Absolutely love how it looks! But then you opened the front door and I was OMG, and Not in a good way. This is a common mistake home builders out west make. Way, way, way too much wood on the inside. Incredibly tacky! Who in there right mind thought those stairs were a good idea. The ceiling and some of the log columns are fine, but everything else needs to go. The stone fireplace is fantastic. The antler chandler is not. Log interior walls are also not necessary at all. You can use other materials if you still feel the need to add more rustic to this interior which to me feels way to dark. Bottom line, too much wood. Even just getting rid of that tangled mess on the stairs would improve it dramatically. I would need to do a pretty dramatic interior renovation.
Also Bears and moose up by the house is a hell No! I don't think the wife or my English Bulldogs are gonna like that!
You don't get it.
I'm not gonna lie I don't like it at all either but it is kind of the whole point of a log cabin
@goodson77784 your right. I don't. I'm a contractor and my wife is an interior designer. We're in Michigan where we also have a lot of log homes. I showed her this one, and she just laughed and asked if it was Colorado or Wyoming.
@@tkchillin2065 We call Michigan east coast.
I didn't care for the antlers either. I don't have a problem with them in general, just never cared for them as a decorative thing.
The mantles seem like a waste to me as well. Unless she's super short, they don't appear to serve any purpose other than aesthetically.
And I agree about the wildlife. I'd love to have it like that, but there needs to be some protected outdoor space for enjoying the evening or sending the kids out to play.
Otherwise, I like the look of all the wood inside and out, especially the stairs.
Totally didn't get walking through grass on the catwalk either 😄
