SEVENT9 // Steering Lock Delete (The Safe Way)

There are many wrong ways to disable your steering lock. This is the right (and safe) way to do it. After my steering locked on me mid-drive I decided the only way for true peace of mind would be to pull the lock and drill out the locking pin. This is how I did it.

I recently had my lock mechanism out to rekey the ignition. I came across a tip on how to remove the sheer bolts that worked for me… take needle nose vice grips and grip the head of the bolt and turn. I was surprised at what low torque the sheer bolts snapped off at since this technique worked. Worth a try before spending 30 min with a drill.
