Excellent tutorial as is always the case. Super nice quality tool roll made by Chris @ cm bonsai. I could see the pride in your eyes as you added your tools :)
Have made some drastic pruning to same species but wasnt sure about the back budding. Im a lot more confident now and can revisit the tree and trim to encourage the back buds. Thanks
I really appreciate your thorough explanations as to not only what you are doing but the theory as to why you are doing it. As a newbie, this is really educational.
Thanks that was great. It was very helpful , feeling overwhelmed is an understatement when I look at some of my trees that I’ve let get out of control.
Love the tool bag! Have been looking for something like that, so when I finally get some of mine own tools I have a place for them. And the juniper is coming along nicely, I have two I have been working on just recently along with my three olive trees. ❤ your work and advice, thanks!
Great video as always Adam. I'm starting my first cascade on a Hikari Azalea, which I believe can use some of the same principles here. So, thank you for sharing!
Lovely video and lots of tips to learn.... btw, I just upgraded my tools and wanted to ask where can I buy those very nice Bonsai tools roll containers?
Love the tree, a urea based nitrogen fertilizer dissolved in water should kill moss. If you use too much, over water the tree to wash it out of the soil.
It’s a bit late for me to say lol, but maybe the Y shaped branch could have been a dead wood feature ? Then removed later if you didn’t like it ? You probably thought of that though…
Pruning decisions were spot on - go hard first and let the new shoots become your future branches :)

Great looking tree! I like that big curve up to the crown
I really love the bend you did coming off the main trunk. Looks like a very promising bonsai. Wish I could find one like that (for free LOL).
Nice tool roll 👍
Great job on tree and fantastic shout out on the wrap. Thanks Adam.
Another excellent and informative video, looking forward to the next stage and further evolution.

Wonderful
I love the brown color on the putty…
Nic bonsai brother
I would cut off the entire lower branch and make the top into a triangle. Like you said, everyone has their own way of doing it :)
Lovely video and lots of tips to learn.... btw, I just upgraded my tools and wanted to ask where can I buy those very nice Bonsai tools roll containers?

You should make a white and black putty then you can mix those two lighter out darker deepening on the tree you’re working

👍👌🙂
You could have made some Jins from the branches you removed
Remove the back one of the cascade branches.
We can't say guy wire anymore. It is oppressive
remove the back branch.
