I don't understand why more people from Kazakhstan don't speak out publicly against Sacha Baron Cohen and his Borat movies. His depiction of Kazakhstan and her people remind me of some of the worst racial and cultural stereotyping of our past.
If African Americans or most other ethnic groups we're depicted in this way, it would understandably be considered to be extremely offensive and would probably be labeled a hot hate crime!

I believe in toleration, including not being overly sensitive about other people's jokes, but I'm tired of the double standard where the slightest offense against some groups is treated like a hate crime while other groups are considered fair game!
