Why is being African American a risk factor for everything? What’s the science behind it? I get so annoyed by this and maybe if I understood I wouldn’t feel a way.
I’m sorry, I don’t know much of the genetic research behind it but I know that research backs the statements 😞🧐 When it comes to maternity though, research has shown that many care professionals just don’t listen to/believe Block women 🥺

I am one of 2 black people in my program and I get such anxiety when I’m in class and I hear low income, educational deficit, and African American as a risk factor on the same list. I just wish my professors would explain the reasons for this. Thank you for responding I love your content.
